We’re going to need a bigger dumpster! After a full day of demo on the #TOHNeedham chimney, @CharlieSilvaTOH and @MarkMcCulloughTOH need both a bigger dumpster for all of the debris and a shower! Luckily, these two guys don’t mind getting dirty on the job and love a hard days work. Drone 🎥: @Egg_Films

Opening up old masonry can be like an archealogical dig! While tearing down the chimney at #TOHNeedham, they found an old Hershey bar wrapper, which was likely the last mason’s snack while they rebuilt the chimney. They also found two kinds of brick, from different builds, but meant to mimic one another. @MarkMcCullough always finds the coolest things on his projects! Check back later this week to see the chimney actually coming down from top to bottom.

Making room for what’s next, one brick at a time. 🧱🏡 @MarkMcCulloughTOH and @JNawadaTOH are removing the existing patio to clear space for the new addition, carefully stacking and saving the bricks so they can hopefully be reused in the new patio. They even get a helping hand from one of the homeowner’s sons, turning this #TOHNeedham teardown into a true family effort.

As Massachusetts cheers on the Patriots in the big game this weekend, we’re celebrating by remembering every town that has welcomed This Old House into its community 🇺🇸🏈 All of the hometown guys helped with the list! Plus, we couldn’t let Jimmy Fallon, Matt Damon, and Ben Affleck have all the townie fun! @JimmyFallon , how did we do? Are there any pronunciations you think we got wrong? Drop the corrections below ⬇️ And go Pats! 🏈 Reel Cover 📸: Sara Ferguson

There was a lot of devastation after Hurricane Helene, but there was at least one silver lining for these homeowners! @MarkMcCulloughTOH walks us through the updates at Catherine and Jeremy’s Swannanoa home, a house that once looked just like the others on the street. After the damage, they were able to make thoughtful floor plan changes that truly made the space their own, for a fresh start, with a personal touch. 💙

The North Asheville homeowners chose a fireplace insert instead of costly repairs. But, don’t worry @MarkMcCulloughTOH still got to do his favorite thing: demo some brick and get his hands dirty. 🔥🧱💪 Reel Cover 📸: Zach Dilgard

You’ve never seen a fireplace like this 🔥🏰 @MarkMcCulloughTOH heads to the iconic Grove Park Inn in Asheville to check out the elevator hidden inside its massive stone fireplace. The elevator AND the fireplace both still work! 😲🧱 #ThisOldHouse #TOHAsheville #CarolinaComeback

🧱💡 Innovation meets craftsmanship! In North Asheville, mason Don came up with a clever custom tool to help clear out debris from a damaged chimney. It made the cleanup faster, safer, and way more efficient. 🔧🔥 But it didn’t stop @MarkMcCulloughTOH from getting dirty in the process! #ThisOldHouse #TOHAsheville #Masonry #CarolinaComeback

🌳🧱 When a massive tree came crashing down, it left our North Asheville homeowners’ chimney in pieces. Thankfully @MarkMcCulloughTOH is on the scene, teaming up with a local mason to clear the debris and get it back in working order. It’s a tough, dirty job, but nothing this crew can’t handle. #ThisOldHouse #Masonry #ChimneyRepair #TOHAsheville #CarolinaComeback
