Many thanks to all who attended my 1st solo art show. The opening was far better than I could imagined, with a great turnout of friends, family, work colleagues and neighbors. The sales of 4 pieces was also a nice surprise. Today was the takedown of the show. Though a little sad, I found out today that ainstructor at the VAC (the talented collage artist Mansa Mussa) used my exhibit to inspire his high school students to create their own collage works. I got a chance to talk to Mansa & his class & see their dynamic & original artwork. A perfect way to end the exhibit!

Getting ready for my first solo art show at the Visual Arts Center of NJ in Summit, NJ. . 14 artworks over a span of 6 years. You can catch the opening Saturday, March 29 from 2-4 pm in the Ann’s Place Gallery on 2nd floor. VAC is just a 12-minute walk from Summit train station & downtown Summit has many dining & shopping venues. Also happy to have a piece (artwork in dark brown frame) included in the VAC Spring Gala Auction in May.
