1,000 miles to journey to a place I’ve seen from afar from all points of the compass but where I never previously had reason or permission to visit. I’m grateful for our hosts and for talented colleagues weaving together an incredible project.
#NoKings Day, Salt Lake City.
Do you see what I see?
Truth is an offense
Your silence for your confidence
Do you hear what I hear?
Doors are slamming shut
Limit your imagination
Keep you where they must
Tired feet and hot ciders, totally drained and fully satisfied in a cozy corner of the Double Windsor. 🫠🌨️🍺 #brooklyn

One week in Brooklyn seeing how the other side lives. It was my fifth visit to New York yet no previous trip could compare to living and exploring with a local. 🙏 Thank you for showing me your neighborhood, @annmariesexton ! 😉 What a life, with rarely a moment of calm once you step outside the front door to get from A to B via the F. So many photos, so much good food and drink, so many visits to the Double Windsor, and now a greater appreciation for jazz. All 13 minutes and 36 seconds of Shakey Jake will play on repeat this week while I rest my tired feet and recover. Where’s the closest bathhouse? 🎷🎶🌨️🗽
A wild weekend with the history of uranium mining carving our route into an unforgiving landscape. The people who prospected this remote corner of the desert were a different breed and/or driven by insatiable greed.
Once again I’m exhausted as I start the work week, but I’ll have it no other way.
P.S. Anyone got a Geiger counter I can use on my bike? ☢️

Thanks frens, it’s been a long time since I laughed til I cried and my heart feels full. What a glorious weekend dodging drones and roaming this amazing moonscape we call home.
Trail champions are the glue the hold groups together when challenges arise, and they were a recurring theme during my recent bikepacking trip with @campfirecycling . Each day of our three-day ride out of Flagstaff, someone stepped forth bearing a gift of spirit, water, shelter, or food—lifting morale and keeping us moving.

A little optimism goes a long way. Thankfully, our friends from @campfirecycling were full of it as we raced for the rain shadow of the San Francisco Peaks after a storm hammered Flagstaff. There, for two days, we miraculously dodged bad weather while #bikepacking part of the Craters and Cones route. By day three our luck ran out, and we opted for a soggy highway ride rather than risk the storm on the mountain. We happily accepted the pouring rain as part of the adventure, and plotted a course to @tourist_home for breakfast burritos and hot coffee. More to come in a blog post, but for now here’s a highlight reel of all the bikepacking fun Josh and Tobias always made happen. ⛺️🔥🚴🏼
