A very exciting evening finding out my capstone project was awarded bronze at the New Zealand @bestdesignawards last night!
And incredible experience it has been and I am so proud of myself and the project. āŗļø
And I canāt forget to mention my insanely talented friends @designbyhols & @madcreative_ who were both awarded with gold pins for their work last night !!! Proud is an understatement ā¤ļøāš„ā¤ļøāš„
A special feeling seeing my work displayed at the AD23 exhibition this week. I was very fortunate to receive the Adam Tam Memorial Award for Image-Making in Design Process, something I could have never imagined starting out 3 years ago! So grateful for all the support and I am excited for whatās ahead šš„³
A few spreads from my capstone project, Embracing Imperfections. The first half of the publication is arranged in a scale of found to made objects that I used in my printmaking experiments. This chapter includes physical prints and reproductions, comparing their perceived value. The second half leans away from outcomes and looks more at process and the conceptual ideas that influenced my making. This chapter is printed on actual prints made in my experiments. One of the things I enjoy most about the publication is that it is one of a kind and can not be replication, celebrating the unpredictable and unique nature of printmaking.
So stoked to finally share my capstone project with you all, this publication has been a labour of love and my greatest challenge yet! Embracing Imperfections is a publication that follows my experiences in exploring how experimental printmaking processes can foster an experience that challenges perfection and creates an embodied sense of flow. The making of the book and the printmaking that can be found inside, have all contributed to a major growth in my practice and I couldn't be more proud of the final outcome!

Considering what actions can be made to get more young women involved, educated and curious about career opportunities within the industry. This project was something I'm super passionate about and considered myself! The campaign consisted of a small publication, poster series, and website. (Yr 3, Sem 1)

POP Publication
Year 2, sem 2
Pop publication takes a step into the lives of others through a collection of interviews and meaningful design choices. The publication holds special memories and stories of those who we find interesting , all of which surrounding the idea of POP; people, object and places. The publication splits into four sections where each of the four interviews have been formed into a holistic portrait of that person using image making, publication and publishing techniques.
