Wave Pool’s upcoming 10 year anniversary fundraiser called "It's Been a Decade" on June 25th will include a silent auction. We wanted to get started highlighting some of the amazing work donated by artists. This first piece is from Mark de Jong, a neighbor, friend, and long time supporter of Wave Pool. Mark is more widely known for his art houses including the Swing House, Stair House, and Smoke House. Cut nails were common in homes until the early 1900s and these were salvaged from renovations, galvanized, and magnetized by the artist to create these unique forms. Bids are made in person on the 25th.

Stair house and Swing House are both open today from 12-4 for the ‘Made in Camp’ and this evening from 6-9 to celebrate the opening of the exhibition ’Mature’ which is part of the city and region wide FotoFocus biennial. Hope to see you there!!
"Mature" is a group exhibition in the Stair House, Mark deJong's newest house art project. Jason Nix, Steve Paszt, and Jacqueline Wood present works that are responsive to the house and resulting from collaborative efforts with deJong.
Maturity is the step before decay and death and/or transcendence and metamorphosis. This show acts as a bridge between former resident Marie's life to the transformation of the Stair House, which is still in progress.

As a 2021 FotoFocus Biennial venue, the current transformational phase of Mark deJong's next project, Stair House, will be open to the public!
The Swing House will also be open for viewing.
