So sorry to hear of cameraman Tsuneo Azuma’s untimely passing.
We met for lunch on April 30, and he was full of energy and enthusiasm, looking ahead to the next chapter of his life after his years in golf camerawork had come to a close. He remained thoughtful and optimistic about what the future might hold. In fact, I believe he went straight to the golf course after lunch.
Tsuneo was a true friend who supported me greatly in my move to the United States — introducing me to my first manager, taking me to my very first meal in America at In-N-Out Burger, and always looking out for my well-being.
Having seen how healthy and vibrant he seemed so recently, this news comes as an enormous shock. He will be deeply missed.
Thank you, Tsuneo, for your support, advice, and friendship. Your kindness and generosity will always remain in my memory.
Rest peacefully.
カメラマンの東さんの突然の訃報に、大変驚き、悲しく思っています。
4月30日に一緒に昼食をとった際、東さんはとても元気で、ゴルフ中継のカメラワークの仕事に一区切りをつけた後の新たな人生のステージを前向きに見据えていました。多くを語る方ではありませんでしたが、穏やかに未来への思いを話していた姿が印象的でした。確か、その昼食の後もゴルフ場へ向かわれたと思います。
東さんは、私がアメリカで挑戦を始めた頃から本当に親身になって支えてくれた大切な友人でした。最初のマネージャーを紹介してくださり、アメリカで初めての食事として In-N-Out Burger に連れて行ってくださったこと、そしていつも私のことを気にかけてくださったことを忘れません。
あれほど元気そうなお姿を見ていただけに、この知らせはいまだに信じられず、大きな衝撃を受けています。東さんがいなくなられたことを心から寂しく思います。
東さん、これまでのご支援、ご助言、そして友情に心より感謝いたします。あなたの優しさと思いやりは、いつまでも私の心の中に生き続けます。
どうか安らかにお眠りください。

We all know bidding can go a bit crazy at vertical auctions when we go from $100 K to $2billion in 3 bids
And the auctioneers always seem too calm, I mean this sort of money is their bonus sorted for the year
So hooray for the brilliant @markchinnery who was given free license to go for it, got properly excited in one scene (forgive me can't remember the Vertical) to the extent that the plate falls ofd the stand
It is just one of the many brilliant characters Mark has played in verticals, caring dads, devious dads, good doctors, very very bad doctors, auctioneers, alphas, mafia bosses and more
So I was a bit star struck when I got to speak with Mark for YouTube. Mark spends a lot of his time in Japan, so we also covered how Japanese acting styles help in Verticals, whether verticals are particularly watched in Japan and lots more
