The salt water aquarium you're looking at holds just under 3,000 gallons of water and is temperature controlled. It was custom fabricated by Reynolds Polymer in Colorado per the design of Kristi Hanson AIA. Reynolds is a leading provider of acrylic aquariums and enclosures throughout the world to Zoo's and Municipal Aquariums. The acrylic in this aquarium is thick. With any saltwater aquarium space for the equipment is always a challenge. In this installation the closest location available to me was in the guest house basement, a total of 265' between the aquarium and equipment.â €

A total of 402 tons of steel was used for this project (the equivalent of 80 full grown elephants.) Consisting of 367 columns, 205 beams, and 21,700 bolt & nut connections
to wood. Some of the heaviest steel columns are WF500's which means 'wide flange 500lbs per liner foot'. Built with care by @markbradshawconstruction

We used more steel to build this luxury estate than there is in the nearby Indian Wells Stadium. The use of structural steel allowed for wide overhangs to shade against the harsh desert sun and shield against the winds in the many indoor-outdoor spaces.â €
