An amazing book all about people's differences in life. It ties in incredibly with everything CheerUpCharlie stands for! Johnny Fearless is eighty-two and living at the Sycamore Tree Home for the Elderly. His nights are filled with dreams of dancing like Patrick Swayze. His mission? To execute the legendary Dirty Dancing lift with Mrs Bruce, assuming she’s game, and assuming the Warden doesn’t faint at the sight. Johnny Fearless and Other Stories is a collection of illustrated tales about extraordinary people attempting extraordinary things. Told in lively, rhythmic verse and brought to life with illustrations by Mark Beech, these stories are warm, witty and brimming with every day heroes - people who outwit adversity (and sometimes medical advice). Looking for a spark of inspiration? You’ll find it here. #cheerupcharlie #book #bedifferentbeyou #happiness #bekind

The Family Tree by Yasmine Anane and Mark Beech One day before winter, Mole sets off to find his family tree. A family tree, he explains, is a place where he will find others just like him. He is tired of being on his own. During his journey, he is joined by Owl, Squirrel and Rabbit. They are tired of being on their own too, and the idea to find somewhere they belong sounds amazing! However, winter arrives, and so does the end of the wood. If there are no more trees to explore, it means that the family tree doesn't exist and the four friends are going to be alone forever. Or does it? A beautifully rhyming and gorgeously illustrated book about the meaning of family and belonging. The first time I read it to my girls, they made me start again as soon as we reached the last sentence. A definite hit, and highly recommended by all of us! #fiction #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookreviews #recensionilibri #books #livrestagram #lgbtbookstagrammer #childrensbooks #libriperbambini @tinytreebooks #TheFamilyTree @thefamilytreebook markbeechillustration
