one of the things we forget about most often, i think, is how close God is 🥹💛 He’s always with us, and promised He’d never leave us nor forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:8). i’m feeling super encouraged today by how He’s with us, and all we gotta do is acknowledge Him. 🙌
for my whole life i have prayed and sang that classic old hymn “I surrender all” but i never really knew how to apply it in my life.🤣🤷♂️ one day 12 years ago i looked at my calendar and i was like “Jesus, i give you all my life & all my time. you can have my whole calendar past August, for the rest of my life” 🤣🗓️ and lemme tell ya, He took that prayer and changed literally everything and im so grateful. I don’t know where i’d be if He didn’t lead me. If you’re needing a jumpstart to living in surrender, maybe start with that prayer, it’s been such a wonderful launchpad 🤲
🥹 can’t get this out of my head. it’s a lil song i wrote from 2 Peter 3:9 - “The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.“
