Focus Artist #63 : baeker
Budapest-based DJ @markbaeker is known for shaping the Hungarian capital’s club sound with his energetic sets rooted in house and UK garage. Thanks to his refined selection and an instinct for forward-thinking rhythms, he has performed at many of Hungary’s well-known festivals and clubs, as well as across the United Kingdom, Austria, Denmark, and Serbia.
As one of – if not the – most defining figures of Hungary’s UKG community, he brings club culture to
the airwaves through his ongoing residencies on Subtle Radio (London) and Tilos Radio (Budapest). Also with having mixes aired on stations including Rinse FM, Mode London, and Radio Rudina, baeker continues to reach audiences beyond Budapest’s clubs, maintaining a growing presence in the scene.

🟢Keep Hush makes its way to Budapest for the first time ever, and for this historical occasion we are bringing together some of the freshest up- and comers and local legends in the bass scene in Hungary to celebrate at Toldi, with a special broadcasted 360 setup madness.
🟢Join us for 7 hours of pure madness of UK garage, grime, 140, jungle, house and a special live act of Hungary’s finest DJs and MCs.
🟢Keep Hush is a platform and community dedicated to underground dance music. Their events showcase high energy, bass driven sounds, many of which are broadcast live and uploaded online for permanent archiving. They believe innovation in dance music has predominantly come from diverse, grassroots communities. Through their curation and practices, they aim to support emerging artists and celebrate the true roots of dance music genres. Their mission is to Back the Underground.
