All analogue.. had a few ideas and am just trying things out. Used a lifedrawing reference.. (i got my own weekly lifedrawing group again = @lifedrawingworkshops at @thecavershamframer ) .. and used this style i developed a few years ago to make a reduction linocut. See videos for process.. then I decided to play around With cutting the paper and layering to see what it would look like. Enjoying the direction this is going, and its given me a big idea i hope to try soon. My hand and elbow has been playing up a bit recently due to the arthritis, so ive been trying to practice left handed drawing. News.. Going to be starting my walk around Reading at the weekend to start collecting typography and ideas for a big typographic Reading linocut map. Been meaning to start it for a while. #linocut #reduction #reductionlinocut #fineart #printmaking

Very limited edition one of one... ceramic work. Testing - plus issues = ive done a new thing.. which is making one of my typographic linocuts into a bowl. I used Bath map as its the perfect thing to do as its circular and Bath is said to be in a Bowl due to the geography of its location within a Bowl of hills. I went with a more unusual shape as I figured it would resemble more of a hilly nature of the surrounding area of bath, and create a more natural form. Destruction!! So my Bath linocut was printed but I never did the full edition.. I got something like 15 or 20 prints out of it. Its now pretty much destroyed which also means this Bowl will be a one of ceramic piece. As well as the prints being very limited. Its sad but there is also something fun in it.. Problem is I dont know much about glazes.. and id live to give it some interesting colour or colours. So if anyone has some good tips or knows someone, please do let me know. Id love to highlight the edges of the text.. then cover it in a clear glaze to make it smooth. .. In other life news .. hoping to start on a Reading map soon, hope to finish that by the end of summer.. just a lot of thinking about how I might like to do that.. .. My wednesday lifedrawing group is going well. Having fun, and its giving much inspiration for general art. .. Also laying some plans for a few linomation.. but at the drawing stages.. so will see what happens. .. #ceramic #clay #fineart #type #typography

A lot of detail and a lot of colour. About 15 hours work. Using procreate. Had a lot of fun with this one. #Artwork #abstract @chaos l

This piece took about 20 hours. Its a piece where all the lines weave through each other and i got to play with colour. Im hopeing at some point to be able to print it on aliminium, so the parts not printed on are slightly shiny. Its a strange overly complicated piece, i feel quite a liking to how this one turned out. Ive got another piece on the work thats taking a bit longer.. #fineart #gallery #art #artist #abstractart #abstractartist.

Ive only just got back to scanning my giant linocut Berlin map in.. i dont have the space, good enough lighting, or camera for getting a full high rez version using photography.. so what ive done: cut two maps into strips.. scanning in the strips using an A4 scanner.. each strip on both maps is cut differently so there is lots of overlap. So far ive done only a few strips.. i think realistically it will be a few weeks work.. but ill slowly get it done when i can over the next few months... I really like seeing a white on black version of the Berlin Linocut map. So decided to share these videos of the scanned strips i stitched together. Im still looking into how to get the linocut map to Berlin Next year.. #berlin #berliner #deutschland #germany #type #typography #lettering #linocut #graphicdesign #fineart #gallery #artist #lettering #citymap #printmaking #cartography #checkpointcharlie #berlinischegalerie #tiergarten

Currently trying to send emails to galleries in Berlin.. or figure out any other art opportunities or art collectors/ gallerists that might find some interest in this project that are based in Berlin. Im wondering a few issues though.. first thing is id probably have to have some help with printing as my elbows and hands are not in a great state (Oesteoarthritis) to spend the days/weeks needed to make prints even if I did get a studio space. Im going to be out of luck with where its currently being stored as that goes end of next summer.. and my financial state means ill not be able to afford big enough storage for it. So if something doesn't come to br ill try just cutting it into smaller sections.. its no ideal, but id just have to make the best of it.. Im rather looking forward to being able to make prints of the linocut as ive never got to work with it in colour.... I just think it would transform it rather a lot. Its all my issue I know as I didn't think about logistics when it came to making it.. and now im paying the price. But I still ideally love the idea of making the art and following ideas and not being constrained by size too much. Printmaking a large linocut like this by hand was quite a fun thing, and it was great when I did it at the show in London many years ago as we had an opening and about 20 people at a time got to rub the back of the paper and help make the black and white prints come to be. If anyone has any thoughts of places to contact or feel like passing this onto anyone, then feel free to do so.

These are the 4 new pieces, I thought to highlight them and share them as a separate post. Really enjoyed this square format. Going to do some more like this. I also like the 1 meter X 1 meter size. Going to try make some more I think in the coming months. But these are currently available to purchase and view if you go to @thameslido in the restaurant area. These were done from a sketchbook I spent a year going in the cafe of the lido. The sketchbook video is available on my YouTube channel.. YouTube "mark andrew webber" and you will see it. #art #artist #fineart #abstract #abstracted #abstract artist #thameslido #contemporaryart

Here is a look at the new artwork installed in @thameslido for the next 6 months. Really had so great time with this and it inspired me to make 4 new 1m x 1m canvas pieces. #art #creative #artist #artwork
