One year ago, we tied the knot on the shores of Lake Como, plus the many years of wedding planning before that. I’ll never forget the late nights and endless discussions about every detail, but seeing it all come together with our favorite people was an unbelievable moment.
For anyone looking to get married in Lake Como, take it from me, the unpredictable weather is no joke. In just three days, we experienced everything from gorgeous European sun, to wind & cold.
As luck would have it, a huge rainstorm passed through on our big day. Thankfully, we came prepared with both an indoor & outdoor plan — and it cleared just in time for the ceremony.
It’s taken me a full year to fully appreciate the rainy experience, which became a silly & cozy way to bring everyone together. Just as I thought my entire vision would slip away, Lake Como taught me a hard & beautiful lesson about staying present, trusting your team, and enjoying every waking moment 🤍

We braved through a big storm around Bellagio. Really longing for some sunshine in Lake Como, but honestly...the clouds over the mountain, the textures, the color of a gloomy day create such a cinematic atmosphere.
After a stroll around Bellagio, we took a boat with the lovely @barindellitaxiboats and dropped by Villa Melzi. After that, we hopped onto the other side of the lake to Balbiano and Balbianello before the storm intensified.
