“Treasure trove” (2023 - 2025)

В деревне Межи Ивановской области живет Елена Архипова — миниатюрная женщина с удивительной силой характера. Она практикует natural horsemanship — мягкие методы воспитания лошадей, основанные на доверии и доброй воле. По профессии педагог, Елена никогда не занималась конным делом. Но в 50 лет исполнила давнюю мечту — купила своего первого коня. Теперь у нее три спасенные лошади: своенравный Герцог, долгожительница Маша и травмированная Зарина, которых она выходила и перевоспитала без хлыста и железа. Елена живет одна в глухой деревне на десяток дворов. Возвращаемся с новым выпуском! Но сперва важная новость про сам подкаст: теперь нас остаётся двое, Полина решила сосредоточиться на своих проектах. Мы очень благодарны ей за пройденный путь вместе и желаем больших успехов. И ещё одно нововведение: теперь мы будем записывать выпуски с приглашёнными авторами, и первая гостья в этом новом этапе — художница Наташа Лозинская @marka.polo . Вот-вот на днях завершилась ее первая персональная выставка в Open you Gallery, и мы захотели подробнее узнать о пути создания проекта и выставки. Поговорили о многогранности Наташи как художнице, о том как ее текстовая практика переросла в фотографическую, как сегодня делать выставку и почему работать с фотографией далеко не так просто, как может показаться. С 23 января по 10 февраля в @openyou.gallery проходит выставка фотографий Наташи Лозинской «Сокровищница». В экспозиции представлен фотопроект художницы, исследующий мифологию и идентичность Вятского края (Кировской области). В своем проекте Наташа Лозинская создает визуальный путеводитель по Вятскому краю – «стране безвременья», сердцевине российской глубинки. Здесь, в лакуне между прошлым и будущим, местные жители подобно сказочным героям ведут бесконечный поиск «сокровищ» – материальных и духовных. Их проводниками становятся локальные предания, народные верования, религиозные традиции и трансформирующаяся от столетия к столетию мифология. «Сокровищница» – это во многом очень личное высказывание художницы, чья собственная идентичность укоренена в Вятке, и одновременно – исследование современного мировосприятия всех, кто родился и живет в глубинке. Через сказочное и игровое фотопроект определяет место Вятки в широком культурном и историческом контексте, исследуя взаимоотношения жителей с коллективным прошлым и настоящим. Экспозиция выставки погружает в непрерывный процесс поиска сокровенной истины и в пространство, где создается чудо. Куратор – @yulyapavlova Выставка продлится до 10 февраля. Open You Gallery ул. We are pleased to announce the shortlisted projects for the Charta Award 2025: 9/10 Treasure Trove by Natasha Lozinskaya @marka.polo Vyatsky Krai (historical name of Kirov region) is the average region of Russia, a Russian hinterland where the territorial and linguistic context has not changed for centuries. The locals, remaining in the gap between past and future, are stuck in «timelessness» and, like heroes of Russian folk tales, are in an endless search for «treasures» - material and spiritual. Local mythology, religious traditions, beliefs and legends help them in their search. I was born in Vyatka, moved away a long time ago, but continue to return there again and again. My search for Vyatka’s identity is a search for my own identity and eternal return to myself. Through metaphysical and playing, I determine the location of Vyatka in Russian culture and history, explore the belonging of a person to the collective past and present, which seem very fragile in difficult historical times. Vyatka is a cross-section of the entire country, where people at the same time believe in the Orthodox God and the existence of yeti, see UFO in the sky and attend church, remember old rituals and beliefs and invent new ones – everyone here is looking for their own “treasure” and an explanation for what is happening around. Based on new and old myths, legends and traditions of the Vyatsky Krai, a visual guide to the mythical country of «timelessness», in which all residents of the Russian hinterland exist today, is been created. - The winner will be announced on October 20th, and their book will be published by Yogurt Editions (@yogurt.editions ). /Every day we will publish one of the ten shortlisted authors, and in the end we will contact all participating authors with the official announcement of the shortlist and the winner. - Charta is a project by @yogurt.magazine . . . #contemporaryphotography #photobooklovers

A set of images by @marka.polo Natasha Lozinskaya’s photographs seem to emerge from a vague boundary between reality and memory. There is something deeply narrative in the way she constructs her images: each shot is part of a story that blends observation, symbolism, and emotion. Her work is not only documentary, but also evocative. Natasha starts from real places (villages, landscapes, familiar details) but she filters them through a gaze that conveys time, loss, and roots. Her photography does not seek spectacle, but the truth of things. A truth that is sometimes visible, other times barely perceptible, like a trace. The compositions of Natasha Lozinskaya stand out for their balance between storytelling and formal rigor. Each image tells a story, yet it does so with an essential, clean, almost minimalist visual structure. It is this compositional restraint that makes her photographs so powerful: nothing is superfluous, everything is in its place.
