Super proud to have worked on this promo for the final season of Curb Your Enthusiasm!! It was a really, really fun shoot, as you might expect - and of course Larry David said a million hilarious things to the crew off camera, keeping us all in stitches! Fun fact: as Larry walks onto the spaceship and talks to the other alien, he recited 5 or 6 different lines. Two of the lines made it into the promo itself, but one potential line that they left out was my absolute favorite: “Did you have to make me bald???” It was a pretty, pretty, pretty good day. #hbomax #hbo #curbyourenthusiasm #larrydavid

I’m proud to have been a part of ANTEBELLUM. We were fortunate to have used some very special and historic lenses on this feature - a mix of 1960’s Panavision anamorphic ultra speed “goldens” that were used to make THE SOUND OF MUSIC, along with re-housed 1930’s MGM spherical prime lenses that were used in the production of GONE WITH THE WIND. These legendary and historic MGM lenses were purchased at auction by Panavision and sat on a back shelf since the 1970’s, until they were sought out by the directors of ANTEBELLUM to be utilized as a counterpoint to their previous use in GONE WITH THE WIND. ANTEBELLUM was filmed in the summer of 2019 in and around New Orleans. Many of the scenes took place at Evergreen Plantation, the most intact plantation complex remaining in the south. Filming took place during the hottest time of the year, with temperatures (and humidity percentages) hovering around 99, every day, for many weeks. The results are visually stunning, and well worth the watch. I can’t wait until I can revisit my favorite city in the world and feel the electricity and magic of New Orleans again. I’m sure we are all missing our favorite places in the world right now - thankfully, we have TV and film to take us back! . . . . . #panavision #mgm #anamorphic #antebellum #neworleans

I'm a huge Silicon Valley fan - it was a blast working with so many talented people on this ridiculous HBO promo for last night's episode! And yes, Russ Hanneman is SO funny in real life 😝 . . . #hbo #siliconvalley #red #monstro

This was the final moment before I learned that I probably shouldn’t be doing flying rockstar kicks off the hood of a ‘75 Buick Apollo anymore

At an abandoned one-room dance hall in rural Nebraska, I found the world's last known photographer of the large format 1915 Kodak Cirkut camera. Richard Malogorski has single-handedly kept this obscure format of photography alive; he travels the back roads of America photographing old buildings, junkyards, and mechanic's shops. The 1915 Kodak Cirkut camera sits on an ancient spring loaded motor that allows 360° panoramas to be taken with extremely long exposures. The film is huge; Richard has spent years developing custom emulsions to process and finish it. This is a dying art – but he is on the lookout for someone who may be interested in learning his secrets before they are lost forever. Anyone who is interested in finding out more about Richard and his work: #Kodak #LargeFormat
