I finally watched all 3 seasons of 'big boys' by @jackdaverooke has there ever been a tv drama which is so rude, so daft and yet so deeply moving? that final episode. the conversation on the bench. bloody hell.

after a wonderful week teaching at @canolfantynewydd with @rachelcjoyce_writer I stopped on the drive home to walk from nantmor up through coed aberlglasyn to beddgelert and back down the river. it was breathtakingly beautiful.
my co-tutor the wonderful @rachelcjoyce_writer (see previous) suggests that students turn the things that stop them writing into a character whom they can then banish for the week. this is mine, the crap superhero mr sad fog. I now need to draw the crap superhero containment unit into which he can be placed before being driven away in a rusty transit van.
cloister 1, 2 and 3. digital prints which began life as photographs of the deliciously crumbled cloister wall in canterbury cathedral. as always, I'm fascinated by human-made objects which have been distressed over time by the elements of one kind or another. pock-marked pier-railings, battered electrical junction boxes, old corrugated iron...
I was digging around in very old 'curious incident' folders and found this, possibly the very first iteration of a drawing I would find myself doing many, many times over the years. I think it's my favourite version. if you can apply that word to a dog being brutally killed.
