I’ve spent so much time campaigning the past year, it felt great to get out today and support others. I LOVE South O and we NEED Dan Osborn in the Senate. Happy cinco, er… dieciséis de Mayo!

We're one step closer to a clean energy majority on Omaha's public utility board! Congrats @mark4oppd and Carol Blood on winning your primaries.

Just like you, I’m busy, and just like you I get my work done. I think accepting help is the key to success. Today, an awful lot of people helped me out by knocking doors, and we sent the last batch of postcards that people helped write for my campaign. Not only is it ok to accept help, I think it’s essential to good governance and getting things done. I had a great time speaking to so many voters today and I appreciate all the help from volunteers. With your help, we can do great things on the OPPD board. Please vote May 12!

I had an amazing time at the Farmer’s Market, meeting new people, connecting with voters, and running into friends and former students. Have a terrific Saturday everyone!

Net zero carbon emissions by 2050 isn’t just a goal, it’s an obligation that we have to the future. Every conversation about power must include preparations for meeting incremental benchmarks between now and then until we reach that goal—ideally well ahead of schedule. Voters and rate-payers ask me about data centers, renewables, and nuclear power almost every day, and each has to be a part of this urgent conversation. I hope to represent you on the board. Please vote May 12!

I truly appreciate the chance to talk with voters at SONA, then the NAACP and Black Brown & Red Coalition tonight. It was great to see so may people turn out, and as you’d expect the questions were excellent and I was glad to get the chance to address the issues that matter most to the people I hope to represent on the board. Thank you to everyone who organized and who turned out tonight!

This one feels personal to me and it always has. There’s a right thing to do here, and while the best time to plant a tree was thirty years ago, the second best time is now. Let’s act now.

I never want to be disingenuous, so I’ll begin by acknowledging that I’m not the lone pro-union candidate in this race. That said, I firmly believe that we can’t continue to take unfair advantage of the men and women who break their backs for public power, or we will wind up with the same shortage as we have in public education. Please take this as my explicit commitment to support labor, and please demand of anyone for whom you may decide to vote the same explicit pledge. The teacher shortage is a national disaster. Let’s be sure we don’t make the same short sighted mistakes with public power. Please join me in supporting our union laborers, and I would be honored to have your vote on May 12.

Only one week until the primary election! Mark Gudgel and Flint Harkness are both running to represent you on the OPPD Board of Directors, and we came together with an important message. We’ve been running against each other, trying to earn your trust and your vote, for more than a year now, and in that time we’ve also come to genuinely respect one another. There are many important races taking place right now, each with serious implications, so please remember to vote on May 12. We’ll see you at the polls!
