Archaic explores the different stages of consciousness during a psychedelic journey. As Sam struggles with recent trauma, she is unexpectedly contacted by her old friend Emily, a self-proclaimed neo-shaman. Emily offers a healing ceremony using an underground entheogen, but the timing feels too coincidental, hinting at a hidden agenda tied to their unresolved past.

An award winning short that explores the astral plane and consciousness. Archaic is a wonderful depiction of a woman's journey into the unknown and how her encounter with an altered state shatters her grip on reality and her sense of identity. This acts as proof of concept for the feature film Guides, and if this is anything to go by, the future of British horror is in very safe hands.
