If you know me, you know I love being part of epic moments that people remember forever! Something about being part of the energy, peoples' reactions, the super quick moments that people miss, just energizes me. Maybe it's my extraverted personality, maybe my ADHD, or both :) Either way, thatâs the stuff I love capturing with my camera.
Whether itâs a wedding, a club event, party, conference, or anything in between, my goal is always the same: make it feel real, make it feel alive, and make sure people actually have photos that will take them back to the moment they happened.
So, if youâve got something coming up and want it captured, hit me up! Letâs make it happen! Woot! đ¸đ

Soo... I loooove taking grad pics!
Iâve been out shooting a bunch of grad pics lately and itâs honestly one of the most rewarding opportunities I've had behind the camera. Something about freezing those cap tosses, snapping some victory walks, laughing with my clients at slightly awkward poses (that actually turn out great!), that are just amazing. Or maybe it's just the thrill of capturing the candid expressions behind the hard-earned milestone!
If youâre graduating (or just finished!) and want photos that actually shine and a fun session with some really solid results, hit me up! đ
Send me a DM and letâs make it happen before the season flies by đ

The 2026 Sea Otter event was an exciting and unforgettable experience for me. It gave me the chance to compete, meet new people, and grow as a rider. From racing downhill to taking on fun challenges, the event was full of opportunities that made it special.
One of the biggest moments for me was competing in the downhill race. The course was challenging, and I pushed myself to do my best. In the end, I earned eighth place, which was an accomplishment I was proud of. It showed me that my hard work and dedication were paying off.
Another highlight was participating in Christian Peperâs Magura Booth obstacle course challenge. It was a fun way to test my technical riding skills in a different setting. I also enjoyed getting along with others and connecting with people who shared the same passion for biking.
Meeting professional riders like Jono Jones, Matt Jones, and Christian Peper was also inspiring. Seeing and speaking with them motivated me to keep improving and chasing my goals in the sport.
Overall, my 2026 Sea Otter experience was rewarding and memorable. It gave me confidence, valuable connections, and motivation for future competitions.

Holy shit balls. The #seaotterclassic dual slalom course this year was far from what we expected: grassy, no rollers, no jumps, no tall berms. At first glance it felt stripped down, where shovels and trucks were exchanged for hammers and stakes. But from this exchange came the slalom course's own unique personality: off-camber turns, slippery grass, and those hidden bumps that could throw you off at any moment. It wasnât smooth, it wasn't flashy, it wasn't built. It was technical, raw, and honestly pretty unforgiving.
After photographing the DH finals race, I raced over to the Dual Slalom course where the Elite category was competing for their finals, at the hight of where things were getting spicy.
I set up near the bottom of the course and it ended up being a killer spot. It was close enough to catch that locked-in focused look on the racers' faces, and those sketchy, all-or-nothing turns around gates and hay bales. Run after run, the intensity just kept climbing until the winners crossed the finish line, marking the end of the Sea Otter Classic Saturday evening tradition for 2026. Honestly I had such a blast shooting this one, and I can't wait to be back.
Wow, this was a long post. If you reach this point, let me know and I'll give you a shout-out for being so thorough and awesome.đ
If youâre racing or putting on something and want it captured like this, hit me up đ¤ Ride fly-bys or complete session sends on your favorite features. Just let me know. I'm flexible and like creativity. Cheers.

Ready, set, dig! Santa Cruz Mountains Trail Stewardship (@santacruztrails ) held another Women's, Trans, and Femme Dig Day at Cotini Coast Dairies with Girls Rock (@girlsrockmtb ) and Juliana Bicycles (@julianabicycles ). Volunteers and trail leads worked together to maintain the beautiful trails that comprise Cotini Coast Dairies State Park. This maintenance allows the trails to continue serving the community though healthy biking and hiking trails at such vast and beautiful locations. I had the opportunity to capture the magic and adventure that lasted all throughout the day. The energy, positivity, determination, hard work, smiles and laughs are what make events like this shine.
Got an event you need captured? Let's talk, shoot me a DM or visit my site at markaugustsnaps.com

So grateful for these four to be in our lives. The best decade of my life. If not for Nate, who convinced me to buy a mountain bike for my first commuter bike (instead of a hybrid), I would've never met Corey. Can't believe it's been more than ten years already. I love you guys.
Pictures shot with the "Oreo" disposable camera lens, and slight retro filter applied.

Light rays, bamboo, and waterfalls. Serenity and beauty are no strangers here at Hakone Gardens, where the whispers of peace are louder than waterfalls or rustling bamboo. The moving sun paints a fresh scene as the day goes by; I could spend hours here and still only remain strangers with each passing view. These shots were taken in the late Fall where the days just barely begun to get cooler. I'm looking forward to enjoying the flowers here in the Spring, so for now the only flowers I enjoyed were the beams of light painted by the rays of the sun. #photography #landscape #outdoors #hakone
All photos taken with OM System OM-1 mkii with Panasonic 8-18mm f2.8-5.6. I used a variable ND2-400 filter for the softer water effects, light rays, and warm tones.
The Dish... is delish! Alright I ain't gonna lie, I was in my PJs and when I got this amazing piece of equipment I just put on a hat and started shooting--I was so stoked to see what this light modifier could do. With just 16.5 inches in diameter it delivers perfectly amazing soft skin with not too soft shadows, a good balance for dramatic shots. Paired with a 45mm (90mm for FF equivalent) f1.8 lens, this light shines! And yes, my poses get cheesy, so better get the crackers! #photography #lighting #headshots #portraits
