OPEN STUDIOS RECAP 🎨 Over the past two weekends, thousands of visitors explored studios across Marin County, met local artists and experienced firsthand the incredible talent that makes our community so vibrant.
Whether you purchased artwork, popped in on your neighbor artist, attended for the first time, or spent the day exploring, your presence mattered.
Events like Marin Open Studios are possible because of people like you who believe the arts enrich our communities and make Marin a more meaningful place to live.
While the event may be over, the artists’ work continues year-round. We invite you to visit our website to learn more about the participating artists and continue supporting local creativity beyond Open Studios weekend.
And if Marin Open Studios has inspired you, please consider making a donation to help us continue our mission of keeping the arts thriving across Marin County for years to come.
Every contribution sustains this beloved community tradition and creates more opportunities for artists. Thank you for being part of Marin Open Studios 2026!

The Vector of Intuition serves as a visual record of the moment a singular truth pierces through the noise of the subconscious.
In this work, the heavy, vertical textures of weathered umber and oxidized sienna represent “cognitive static”—the accumulated layers of established thought, habit, and internal monologue that often obscure our path. This landscape is dense and grounded, yet it is decisively interrupted.
The sharp, indigo diagonal line acts as the “vector”: a force of sudden, directional clarity. It does not navigate around the static; it cuts through it. This piece explores the specific mental phenomenon where logic falls away and a direct path to understanding is revealed. It is a study of that precise instant when the mind stops searching and simply knows, marking a definitive trajectory toward a new internal horizon.

‘River Under The Sea’ installed in a beautifully situated and designed home. Triptychs are so hard to install but the very handy and proactive homeowners were simply amazing and we enjoyed a sip of 🍷 together afterwards. It’s the most wonderful thing, the connections made over art! This painting was made after our Galapagos trip where I learned about the Cromwell Current or Pacific Equatorial Undercurrent (a river flowing under the surface of the ocean).
The new owners had recently been on a Scuba trip there and experienced the strong pull of the underwater river up close and personal…….along with an abundance of gorgeous (and terrifying 🫣) marine life…….what an amazingly serendipitous connection!
Art reception this Sunday, small bites, cheers and live Jazz Trio.
May 17th, Point Richmond Art Gallery 1-3pm. Join us for all the fun… and find out why I call it “In Person Art”.
PRG: 145 Richmond Ave., Point Richmond, CA.

So excited to find Xylocopa sonorina - Valley Carpenter Bee in our front garden. Such a teddy bear of a bee! The males are golden and don’t sting the females iridescent metallic black. I’ve only ever seen females before! @marinopenstudios@miniinmarin@ms.lawsome@swords.and.shapes@janeoalt@heidichodes@myrtlebark13@iheartsmokey@chicoguys #valleycarpenterbee is one of the largest @ bees in its genus. It is named after the California Cental Valley, where it burrows through the wood to make its nests. Also called the Hawaiian carpenter bee or Teddy bear bee, they are docile and are often shy to approach humans. Have you seen these in your garden before?
Thrilled to announce that my photograph, “Dillon Days,” will be in the upcoming exhibition, “Meaning of Home: A Photography Exhibition,” at THE Gallery in the Belvedere Tiburon Library. 📸🏠
This show explores the deepest sense of what home means to us—from physical spaces to internal narratives and sanctuaries of the heart. For me, home is inextricably tied to the shoreline. My piece, “Dillon Days,” is a tribute to my childhood spent running along those very dunes, the feeling of freedom in the salt air, and the echoes of memories made on the sand. It’s a reflection on how those early landscapes become a permanent part of our internal architecture.
Please join me for the opening reception to celebrate this collective vision of “home.”
Can’t wait to see you there and share these stories with you!

What an incredible two weekends at Marin Open Studios ✨
Thank you to everyone who came out, shared conversations, connected through art, and supported my work. It means so much to see some of my pieces find their forever homes.
I’m deeply grateful to the staff, board, and volunteers of Marin Open Studios, and to Art Works Downtown for providing me with a beautiful studio space to create and grow as an artist. Most of all, thank you to this amazing community for showing up and allowing me to share my work with you.
Feeling truly blessed and already looking forward to next year’s event! 💛

And just like that, Marin Open Studios 2026 is officially a wrap! 🥂✨
My heart is so full after these past two weekends. To everyone who stepped into my space at Corte Madera Town Center—thank you. Whether you came to explore the “innerverse” of my Cognitive Topographies series, see the new vault releases, or just to say hello, your energy and curiosity are what make this community so special.
To my collectors, both old and new: thank you for choosing to bring my work into your homes. There is no greater compliment for an artist than knowing a piece has found its “forever home” and resonated deeply with someone else’s journey.
Still thinking about a specific piece? 💭 🎨
I know how it feels when a painting or sculpture stays with you long after you’ve left the gallery. If there was a particular work that caught your eye or spoke to your soul, please don’t hesitate to reach out! I’d love to chat more about it, share the story behind its creation, or discuss how it might fit into your space.
You can browse available works on my online gallery (/) or send me a DM right here.
Thank you for being part of this “ripple effect” of transformation. Until next time! 🤍
