I did a couple of weeks of hair setting and running one of the plots on "Blues..." end of 2022. It was an amazing opportunity to learn how to style textured wigs, tattoo cover and assist with quick changes for such talented members of the cast like:
1. Ronkẹ Adékoluẹjo as Delia
What a trooper, with the most hair changes in the whole show, including one wig coming into 4 different styles and one taking the hair off completely to preserve it during a costume change.
2. Each wig was set daily, sometimes twice between matinees and evening shows.
3. Samira Wiley as Angel Allen & Osy Ikhile as Leland Cunningham.
4. One point of my plot involved assisting with an under 30 second wig change for Samira.
5. Seamless blend on the wig for Osy Ikhile.
6. Angel and Doctor Sam played by Sule Rimi.
7. Sule wore a touppee that fantastically blended into his natural hair.
8. Delia and Guy played by Giles Terera for whom I applied the wig on the next slide and did a tattoo cover.
