The next collection calls for a new shoot - ‘Far From the Wallflowers’ - launches with @jumbledonline very soon! I can’t wait to share even more about each piece, this feels like it looks, an acceptance of sorts, a fresh breath, a breeze from somewhere new, and yet somewhere I’ve known all along.
P.s I’m under very strict orders to let ‘EVERYONE’ know that my 7 year old filmed this BTS, she’s phenomenal, I can’t say I’m surprised.
Last night felt like the natural unfolding of everything I’ve been working toward, but if I’m being honest, it was the apex. It was the moment that choosing myself went from a quiet internal decision to a physical reality in a room full of people.
For a long time, you wait. You wait for the timing to be right, for the validation to arrive, or for someone to hand you the silver platter you’ve spent a lifetime earning. But I realized I’d rather take that platter with my own two hands right now than wait another 37 years for it to be given to me.
Choosing yourself is a quiet decision at first, but eventually, it fills the whole room.
A massive thank you to @somethingelsegallery for giving this work a home, to the incredible artists I share this wall with and deeply admire, and to every collector I had the privilege of meeting last night. We are just getting started. 🖤
I use the Australian magpie to tell the story of a home that lives in the marrow of our bones but rarely in our hands. This work is an invitation to the women who have spent a lifetime being the foundation, a chance to stop performing ‘strong’ and simply exist in the quiet.
What a relentless feat of endurance that was. The last five months have been a total rollercoaster, a marathon run in the margins of a life that was already overflowing, much like motherhood, it was a process of being completely undone only to find myself again in the repair.
I’m deeply grateful to the @artgalleryofnsw for the opportunity to enter the Sulman Prize. It was the weight of that deadline that finally pulled me out of my own fear and forced me to bring this piece into the light, I don’t think it would exist otherwise.
I’m so looking forward to ‘A Scaffolding of Red and Bone” finding its place on a wall soon. It will be showing at a gallery shortly, with dates to be advised.

I am not a departure, I am a continuation. Every unapologetic choice, every bit of light I carry, is a thread pulled from the women who shaped me. I look at this table and realize I haven’t lost my way, I’ve just finally joined the council. I am more like them than anyone else, and for the first time, that feels like freedom.
