Found Sound Presents: The Mariana Verna Quintet
Mariana Verna is a Brisbane/Magandjin based contemporary and jazz singer living on Yagera and Turrbal land. Her distinctively adaptable voice has graced some of the city’s best stages, most recently being The Brisbane Jazz Club. Inspired by the likes of Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Kurt Elling, Samara Joy, Carmen McRae, April Varner, Cyrille Aimee, and Australia’s own Emma Pask, Mariana has started to make a name for herself as a sought after vocalist in the Brisbane music scene.
Joining Mariana will be some of Brisbane’s best jazz musicians; Ashley Hutton on saxophone, Mitch Bellert on piano, Connor Perkins on bass, and Harry Beeton on the drums and cymbals.
