Last night’s in-person Bible Cluster in Columbus was a beautiful and meaningful gathering.
We’re so grateful for the opportunity to come together at @hammond_harkins and reflect on Ruth 1:1-19 through art, conversation, and community.
A special thank you to @codyf.miller and @margoatwork for sharing their artwork and helping shape such a thoughtful reflection on Scripture, grief, loyalty, hope, and home.
We’re also grateful to @mahleahart for facilitating the gathering with such care, and to @hammond_harkins for generously opening their space for this event.

In between client to-dos, I like to take quick breaks to dance💃🏽, watch funny videos😂, and now I’ve added in a little reading📚 to relax my mind!
I’m learning that we can establish boundaries for others, but the biggest boundaries are actually the ones that we set for ourselves.

Personally, I’m developing routines for all the non-negotiables that help me thrive…so that I can do what helps me come alive…helping others to help themselves with a little self-care, systems, and strategy😬

It’s funny how much adulting is really just going back to the basics! I’m finding it’s the same way with business.
There will always be new tools or tips to get you places faster. However, just because you can get some place faster doesn’t mean that you have the systems in place to sustain you when you get there! 👀
As I work on this with my clients, I continue to cultivate this for myself!

Through my business, My Helpmate LLC, we’ve had the privilege this past year of supporting capacity-building efforts for the High School Voter Outreach Program with the League of Women Voters of Metropolitan Columbus (LWVMC.)
For nearly eight years, LWVMC volunteers have visited local high school classrooms to engage students in nonpartisan conversations about the importance of voting and to assist eligible students with voter registration. In today’s climate, civic engagement can feel challenging but ensuring young people are informed remains essential.
LWVMC is a small but mighty nonprofit led by one staff member, a dedicated board, and committed volunteers. Last year, My Helpmate supported coordination with school districts, volunteer trainings, and the development of a universal classroom curriculum.
Volunteers have reached over 3000+ students over the past few years in CCS and beyond, including this fall at Arts & College Preparatory Academy, Africentric, Independence, Centennial, Thomas Worthington, Worthington Kilbourne and Downtown High School.
This year, thanks to a generous sponsorship from the Columbus Bar Association, LWVMC is aiming to reach every CCS high school and help secure 500+ new voter registrations. Volunteers are key to making that happen.
