Let’s take a ride on THE AMERICAN EAGLE at Six Flags Great America - front row! 🎢🙌 🦅 🇺🇸
147’ first drop
66mph top speed
Opened in 1981 as the world’s fastest, tallest, and longest wooden roller coaster
I have so many great memories riding this with my parents and with friends growing up. When it was in its prime and still able to race, the ride was truly special.
How do you feel about The American Eagle? Should it be a part of the park’s long term future?
Let’s ride VIPER at Six Flags Great America - the only roller coaster Six Flags ever designed and built in-house!
VIPER opened in 1995. The fan-favorite wooden coaster a mirror copy of the Coney Island Cyclone in New York.
While it’s only 100 feet tall with an 80-foot drop, VIPER zips at 50mph and has that classic woodie shimmy as it barrels around its twists and turns.
How do you feel about VIPER 31 years into its run?
HAPPY 91st BIRTHDAY TO MY DAD, Dan! 🎂🙌
We celebrated with dinner - and a Mustang of ice cream - at one of my parents’ favorite spots.
Help me wish him a happy b-day … I’ll be sure to read him your comments!
Let’s ride DEMON at Six Flags Great America - one of the park’s original roller coasters!
When the ride opened in 1976, it was called TURN OF THE CENTURY with two airtime hills and two corkscrew inversions at the end. Four years later in 1980, they added two vertical loops, painted it black and added some new theming to turn it into DEMON.
Have you ridden DEMON?!
HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY to my favorite person! 🌻
Yes … we were actually OUT last night WITHOUT our kids. 🤯
Jonna is such an incredible mom and somehow keeps the crazy Leshock train on the tracks every day. We love you! ♥️
Let’s ride TOP THRILL 2 at Cedar Point! The Sandusky, Ohio amusement park opens for the season today!
This multi-launch coaster sends riders up two 420’ vertical climbs … one a spike and one a top hat … with a top speed of 120mph.
Have you ridden TOP THRILL 2 yet?! Happy opening day to everyone lucky enough to be at CP today!
Let’s ride FIDDLER’S FLING at Six Flags Great America - a fast-paced spinning attraction that’s been running for 50 YEARS!
This Calypso attraction was manufactured by Schwarzkopf, and it’s one of the rides that still remain from Great America’s opening season in 1976.
Have you ridden FIDDLER’S FLING?! 😀
HOLIDAY IN THE PARK is back at two Six Flags parks - Six Flags Great Adventure and Six Flags Over Georgia.
But will we see it expand to MORE parks?! Let’s discuss!
DO YOU REMEMBER THE BOZO SHOW? What was your “Bozo Era?”
I know many of you will be like - “are you serious, of course I remember Bozo!” But you’d be surprised how many people I run into who were either too young to remember or just not from this area. When I tell them about the MULTI-YEAR waiting list for tickets to this clown-driven kids show, it blows their mind.
So when did you watch? I was the Joey D’Auria Bozo era. I loved Professor Andy, the musician/DJ sidekick guy.
I got to be in the audience one time. My Mom scored tickets after waiting for about seven years to get them. I remember being freaked out that I would get picked to do something on television. I was a pretty shy kid.
The thing I remember most was waiting in the WGN hallway to go into the studio and how ALIVE it was with clowns and guests and people EVERYWHERE. It’s crazy to think I walk down that same hallway every day for work now.
Anyways, I’d love to hear your Bozo memories if you have some!
Let’s take a ride on WRATH OF RAKSHASA at Six Flags Great America on Opening Day 2026!
171’ first drop
67mph top speed
5 inversions, most on a dive coaster
Manufactured by Bolliger & Mabillard
This is the second season for Great America’s first dive coaster. I think it’s a great addition to the park. The inversions are brilliantly designed, one flows right into the next.
Have you ridden RAKSHASA yet? Where does it rank in the park, and where does it rank with other dive coasters?🎢🙌
