Last week in the Unleash Creativity Club we did some work on avoidance and visibility.
The real brain-twister is how so many people stay busy, and don't think they're avoiding anything. I'm not avoiding, I'm working!
What you might be avoiding IS visibility. Avoiding, or hiding, costs you your self-confidence and self-worth. The more you avoid, the more you reinforce the _story_ that you have an upper limit.
And I believe you have a gift for the world, so let's shift that limit.
To create a new story, you can't do it all at once. Confidence is built through repetition, small ones, over and over.
Try. Survive. Try again. --> builds confidence.
And you CAN build confidence, the kind that doesn't care about other people's stories or judgments.

I had a client who was about to launch his own creative agency as CEO. He took on a creative presencing exercise. In the process of our work he had a solid plan, and instead he did a full 180 for how to create his new company. He described the results as a "wildly successful launch."
Presence is the opposite of absence. You can't see opportunity when you're absent. If you're open to presence, you're open to opportunities you would otherwise miss.

Creativity isn't about controlling outcomes, because outcomes are rarely if ever predictable. So you can stop and wait for the future to reveal itself, which means living in a constant state of waiting.
Or, you can control is how you respond to the present, unpredictable reality. How much courage and curiousity you bring to every moment.
The future isn't known, but it's something you create.
