In July 2025 I designed this kusudama. I decided to call it *Impatiens*, after the plant commonly known as touch-me-not or busy lizzie. The name refers to the readiness with which the plant's seeds are dispersed: the ripe seedpod bursts upon slight pressure, curling back its valves, thus scattering the seeds up to several meters away. The spikes and curls of the kusudama reminded me of the burst pods of the *Impatiens*. Besides, I too was quite impatient to find a name for this model.

A year ago I designed my very first kusudama. It was just a prototype, but recently I perfected two variants of the same model.
I called the first one "Air force", since the winglets on each module reminded me of some sort of air-force crest.
The second one, I called it "Bat ears", again because of the shape of the winglets on each module.
