On saturday I had the pleasure of doing the opening cerimony for AON. A moment of intimacy, in which all the protective barriers erected to live in today’s world fall away. Me, the music, and you. Nothing else. 🖤

For this episode, we’re pleased to present @ikiir.c , a renowned artist from the Milan electronic scene and core member of the @slate__collective . This marks another chapter in the long distance collaboration between AON and Slate, a project we deeply value and admire for its contribution to the underground scene. Our residents will join the guest, guiding the musical timeline with their experience. We look forward to seeing you on the dancefloor, bringing the same warmth and respect you’ve always shown. We’ve made it to the 10th New Faces and we’re proud to introduce MAIC @marcocusmano , an Italian artist from Palermo who delivered a beautiful track selection. Maic, also known as Marco Cusmano, was born in Palermo in 2000. A passionate music lover, he finds joy in expressing himself through electronic music, reaching places where words cannot. In his daily life, he works as an engineer specializing in applied quantum physics in materials science. This academic journey would not have been possible without the constant support he found in music. For him, music acts as a catalyst for thoughts and emotions, as well as a means to release the stresses of everyday life. As a DJ, he has performed at clubs such as Q Club, Amnesia, and Black Hole in Milan; Porto Bello in Lugano; and Boddschamber in Stuttgart, along with a series of disco pubs in these same cities. His primary role in the music scene has been the creation of the collective Art Of Noise @artofnoise_ofc in his homecountry, Sicily. Through AON, he has worked to build a community centered around electronic music, where everyone can feel safe and free to express themselves. Maic, conosciuto anche come Marco Cusmano, è nato a Palermo nel 2000. Grande appassionato di musica, trova gioia nell’esprimersi attraverso la musica elettronica, raggiungendo luoghi dove le parole non arrivano. Nella vita di tutti i giorni lavora come ingegnere specializzato in fisica quantistica applicata alla scienza dei materiali. Questo percorso accademico non sarebbe stato possibile senza il supporto costante che ha trovato nella musica. Per lui, la musica rappresenta un catalizzatore di pensieri ed emozioni, oltre che un mezzo per liberarsi dallo stress della quotidianità. Come DJ, si è esibito in club come Q Club, Amnesia e Black Hole a Milano; Porto Bello a Lugano; e Boddschamber a Stoccarda, oltre a una serie di disco pub nelle stesse città. Il suo ruolo principale nella scena musicale è stato la creazione del collettivo Art Of Noise [AON] nel suo paese d’origine, la Sicilia. Attraverso AON, ha lavorato per costruire una comunità incentrata sulla musica elettronica, dove tutti possano sentirsi al sicuro e liberi di esprimersi.
