My biggest failure as editor in chief for this magazine has not been telling my story. And keeping you all updated about what I’ve working on between issues. Taking a note from Gary Vee I want to come clean about where I have been failing. My biggest issue is not posting and story telling. I think this comes from insecurity, which seems strange because I put so many thoughts on paper and have taken so many risks for this mag, but this is different. Social media is the biggest way to level up our publication, but I want to do it in a cognizant way that adds value to our readers and followers alike. I also want to do better sharing not only the wins but the struggles I face in this journey. Not in the hope of finding pity, but in sharing how as creatives we all face challenges, but also how they are necessary for us to find success. Lastly I want to not only produce every shoot for the next issue, but also shoot one myself as well. That journey will also be tracked here and on my personal page. More posts like this coming in 2026. Stay tuned!

@iconicmagazines has always been one of those places. A space that holds culture. It’s not just a shop, it’s a landmark. It’s where editors, stylists, DJs, tourists, rappers, and fashion students all cross paths without even realizing it. The shelves do the work. They speak for themselves. They tell you where the world has been and where it’s going. Its imprint on the creative world of this city is massive. And we wanted to create a collection that felt important and cared about quality as much as Iconic does about its message and publications. So when the idea came up to design a capsule together, it wasn’t about creating hype. It was about celebrating something that already exists, the spirit of the store. The feeling of walking into that space on Mulberry. The belief that print still matters. Something that would feel Iconic. New York. …..NY……icoNYC The phrase came naturally. For our LIVE2RAVE event at @elsewherespace we collaborated with Taiwanese designer @acid__angel . With access to a lower pixel screen, we leaned into a more vintage and early internet aesthetic. Messages include the concepts of ego confrontation, split decisions, duality, childhood and more. In later videos we’ll dive into the story and meaning behind the video with sound bites from @marco.undermind and @acid__angel . Music is a preview of a new track produced by @lstnght.collective featuring DJ Conspiracy.
