I spent my entire childhood in a dance studio, starting at three years old. By 12 I was assisting classes; by 14 I was competing and dancing in the NFL Pro Bowl; by 15, I had a broken ankle. Sweat, tears, disappointment, criticism, triumphs—dance was everything… until it wasn’t. I stepped away, joined my high school cheer team, and became certified to teach spin and fitness classes at my local gym. I went on to Rutgers as a BFA dance major and a member of the dance team, only to realize there was more to me than a single path. I made the difficult decision to drop the BFA—and was moved to an alternate on the dance team, even though I knew I belonged on the floor at nationals. I worked harder than ever to prove my worth. At 19, I auditioned for the Knicks and made the team as the youngest dancer, all while studying sports management and exercise science. I left the Rutgers dance team and poured everything into being a Knicks city dancer. Then came the setback: my second year I was cut for “not being on my game”—code for gaining weight. Two weeks and many hours in the gym later, I was called in to replace a dancer who had left to become a Rockette. After five incredible seasons, at my very last Knicks promo, I met my amazing husband. I danced backup for artists, started my own production company, and ran entertainment for nightclubs—until I chose to step away and pour myself fully into motherhood. Dance became something I watched from the sidelines, while movement lived quietly inside me. During Covid, I began teaching friends in my basement—just movement, sweat, and connection. I started a cheer program for my daughter and her friends. Then a friend asked me to help with entertainment for a party, and without realizing it, she reignited something in me. That moment launched me back into creativity. Studio MGH Creative was born—and suddenly, I needed a home for all my passions The Pearl was born. And just like that, I was back in a studio—full circle. In the place where I was happiest as a child, and now happiest again as an adult. This journey has been humbling, exhilarating, and deeply personal, but I know The Pearl is where I’m meant to be. ✨ 🤍

The Pearl is coming to the Hamptons ✨ We’re so excited to give a sneak peak to our summer partnership with @wavewellness.hamptons in Southampton — starting with a special MDW class Saturday May 23rd at 9:30AM led by @marcellahymo 🕺✨ This class is a first taste of what’s to come ahead of Marcella’s August residency at WAVE, where she’ll be bringing The Pearl’s signature energy, movement, music, and community to the Hamptons all month long. Expect a dance-forward experience designed to make you move, sweat, connect, and have fun — the kind of energy that only happens when wellness and joy collide 😝💗💪 We’ve admired what Lisa and the WAVE team are building in Southampton and can’t wait to bring The Pearl community into the space this summer. See you Saturday May 23rd 💫

Bringing the magic of LoveShackFancy to Toronto so the women of the city could experience it for themselves felt incredibly special. From curating the music, to movement directing the models, to working with incredible local dancers and the insanely talented @summerjoyforever , every detail was built to make the room feel something. Nothing inspires me more than bringing artists together and turning a runway into an experience. Toronto talent showed UP for this one!!! So proud to be a part of Suzanne Rogers Presents @suzannerogerstoronto x @loveshackfancy fashion for philanthropy fundraiser benefitting @sickkidstoronto @jayscare @theimageisofficial @nicholasdavid_ @theycallmecharley @celiaazoulay @brookemcdaid

This years Youth America Grand Prix was a celebration of artistry, creating opportunity, and supporting the next generation of dancers! We honored two incredible women who embody that in completely different, yet equally powerful ways—Rebecca Hessel Cohen and Melanie Hamrick. Rebecca has built a world through LoveShackFancy where ballet lives far beyond the stage. She brings dancers into fashion, storytelling, and culture, and continuously gives them new platforms to be seen! Slides 6 & 7 show how she has woven not only dance, but movement always throughout her career. Melanie, after an extraordinary career on stage, is now shaping the future of dance through her choreography…creating work that is emotional, modern, and deeply rooted in the art form. Seeing her piece come to life, with a custom LoveShackFancy design (slide 9) was such a special full-circle moment of collaboration. The Pointe Shoe Project was another highlight—where art, fashion, and philanthropy collide. The pointe shoes are up for auction now until April 22nd 12pm EST at /yagp2026. And finally… the ballerinas in the rings. A moment I will never forget. Movement surrounding us, energy filling the entire space, and a powerful reminder of the beauty, discipline, and magic of ballet. Thank you to @joffreyschool for making this vision come to life!!!!!

Jane Fonda…a personal hero of mine. A woman who proves you don’t have to be just one thing!! An artist, an activist, a businesswoman. Strong in your body, strong in your voice, and intentional with your impact. I’ve always been inspired by how she turned her passion for movement into something bigger—using it to build, to give back, to stand for something. Her profits from her workout videos funded her activism with progressive issues such as women’s rights, environmental protection, and anti-war efforts. That kind of purpose, that kind of presence…I strive to be half of what she is…Some people shine on their own….Some people light the way for everyone else!!!! Thank you @mrhymo for putting me in the same room with her!!!! 📸 @anagambuto
