Going through the archives on Oscar weekend
After two decades in the archive, we’re considering placing it with the right collector or institution.
Angelina Jolie at the 2004 Academy Awards, from the Marc Bouwer Fall 2004 runway.
Twenty years later the same dress returned to the red carpet when Sydney Sweeney wore the original gown at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party.
It’s been included in countless Oscar fashion retrospectives over the years and even has its own Wikipedia page.

This look was inspired by the always classic and elegant @mslynnwhitfield who wore this dress designed by @marcbouwer to the @naacpimageawards in the 90s. I wanted to do an homage to Ms Lynn to celebrate class which never goes out of style. @highheelprncess made it come together, reaching out to Marc who did a stunning reissue of the dress. I’m in love and cannot thank you both enough.
