Thankful for the last year @kulinaryafilipinoeatery My last day is tomorrow if you’ve never come by this is your sign to try the kamayan! To events, to catering, to countless bbq skewers, kamayan feasts I’ve loved this restaurant as my own and it will always hold a special place in my heart.
There’s something special about comraderie in the kitchen and I’m thankful to have had the team and especially those three behind my back through all the heat, sweat and stress.
Thank you to Tita Rose, who everyone knows pours such love and passion into the business, for the opportunity to learn more about Filipino food and the story behind hers. Beyond grateful to have been a part of the journey here and wave the Philippine flag and stand proud to promote Filipino food. Promoting our cuisine is something I will always push to do.
Excited for whats next. Excited for next year to come.
Episode 4: Game 7
One month ago, we opened our door for the very first time.
No sleep. The kind of pressure that felt like the finals.
Months of buildout, testing, second-guessing, all leading to opening night.
You showed up, lined up, filled the room, and made it come alive.
Ben said it best at the end of that night:
“We have to do it again. And again. And again.”

Episode 2: Almost ready. Kinda.
The paint was still drying.
The lights were still being wired.
The food wasn’t ready.
And neither were we.
We filmed the journey to capture the wins, but we ended up capturing the doubts, the chaos, the pressure no one sees.

Serendipity smiled on us last Thursday, when the rainclouds gave way to clear summer skies and allowed this fine group of humans to serve up a Filipino feast!
#TeamPakals is hugely thankful for everyone who rolled up their sleeves to feast with us on the @breezebaryvr patio—fiesta vibes were on point, and we’re grateful that you shared a delicious, laughter-filled evening with us!
Whaddya think: should we run it up again?! 😁

Meet Marco Ramirez (@marc0_ramirez ), Chef de Cuisine at Kulinarya (@kulinaryafilipinoeatery ), where he brings traditional Filipino flavours to life with care, craft, and pride.
Marco’s culinary journey began humbly as a dishwasher at The Keg, where the energy of the kitchen sparked a passion that’s never left. He went on to graduate from Vancouver Community College’s Culinary Arts Program (@vccculinaryarts ) in 2021 and has since spent nearly a decade honing his skills across Vancouver’s food scene.
From kitchens like The Lunch Lady to private dining with @cookingwithben , pop-ups with @marksingson and @mabuhayyvr , and Club Versante’s luxury boutique hotel, Marco’s path reflects dedication, curiosity, and a deep love for the culture behind the cuisine.
We have been blessed to have Chef Marco as such an integral part of the @onovancouver Filipino Meal Train in the Lapu Lapu Day aftermath, and we’re equally thrilled to welcome him to A Night of Too Many Chefs.

✨ Just a throwback to a night that was nothing short of magic. The An-Sarap Project. A celebration of Filipino and Vietnamese flavours woven together at Kulinarya, where every dish told a story, and the company made it even sweeter.
Couldn’t have done it without the incredible talents of Chefs @cookingwithben_ from @thelunchlady and @marc0_ramirez from @kulinaryafilipinoeatery and their amazing teams.
