Meet Mara Davi Gaines, our newest Teaching Artist. You’re going to love her. I sure do. We've acted together, studied together, played together. I trust her skills and her heart. She’s a celebrated Broadway vet. Works across all mediums. Beloved coach. Plus she’s saving the world (no exaggeration). Mara shares the @yates_method philosophy — have lots of tools in your toolbox, use what works. Deep artistry meets reliable technique. DM for info on her Acting the Song Workshop Bio: @maradavi is a versatile performer with over 20 years of experience in Broadway, regional, and international theater. Her Broadway credits include A Chorus Line, The Drowsy Chaperone, White Christmas, Dames at Sea, and The Play That Goes Wrong. Her recurring and guest starring roles on television, include FBI, The Blacklist, Blue Bloods, Smash and Prodigal Son. Beyond performing, Mara is a dedicated educator, serving as a private acting, vocal and dance coach, and a faculty member of The Lexington Theatre Company, Theatre Arts Lab, Broadway Arts Collective, and Warwick Center for the Performing Arts. She is also a proud board member of the Broadway Green Alliance (), advocating for sustainability in the performing arts.

Happy 50th Birthday, A Chorus Line! I felt so grateful to be a part of the GIANT family of people who have told this story over the past 50 years, and it has been a joy to reunite with members of my revival family and Hollywood Bowl family this week as part of @achorusline50 . I love compost. In 2021, I wrote a paper for my Ecological Economics course outlining my dreams for community/municipal composting in my town. I shared it with friends and neighbors. This past March, one of those neighbors, @jcjnyc , reached out and said “Are you ready? Let’s do this.” And under the umbrella of @cornwall_youth_garden_club , with the support of @phylis.farina , @erminsiljkovic , our Town Council, @zrzgaines and the help of INCREDIBLE VOLUNTEERS, we collected over one-ton of food scraps in our first farmer’s market season and they are currently cooking down into beautiful soil for the spring. And thanks to the Donahue Farm Committee, our work gets to continue year round. My heart is full of joy and gratitude. I love #soilmicrobes #compost #worms #climatevictorygardens #farmersmarkets #myneighbors and #mytown . Arthur likes them too 😉
