this forever is enough.
when I was unsure about having kids, there didn’t seem to be a good enough reason to bring someone into a world falling in on itself. how could it be ethical? god, what a condescending concern — as if a life with less ease than mine would be any less worth living! as if existence were only an enduring!
now I see her smile and feel the truth in every cliché about life being precious. we are almost impossible. one day you’ll know that it will have been worth it to be alive.
