The plant sale has been so busy we haven't even had a moment to stop and post about it! Come on down! We have some lovely vendors here today celebrating Spring and getting excited about our gardens with us!!! We have a full vegetable garden selection of plants grown with lots of love and care! Plus culinary herbs and cutting flowers! OTHER FUN STUFF - All weekend, we'll have a planting station so the kids can plant their own seed to bring home, care for it and watch it grow! (1 planting per child) Also, All weekend, we'll have a few fabulous vendors to show off their lovely goods, many that will accent your work in the garden! On Sunday, May 17, 2026, Burrillville Rocks will be here painting Rocks with the Kids from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. On Sunday, May 17, 2026 , 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. We welcome Roger Williams (aka (Ret.) National Park Ranger John McNiff for a presentation - Gardening with Roger Williams. Roger will share the delights (and the struggles) that existed during his time. This presentation is part of our 250 YEAR CELEBRATION OF OUR NATION!!. Though Roger lived 150 years before it, he was instrumental in influencing our fierce independence and what we now refer to as the First Amendment to the United States Constitution. THIS WEEKEND is our PLANT SALE KICK-OFF! We have been lovingly tending these plant babies for months and they are ready to go to their new garden homes! The bake shop will be open with our usual goodies so come peruse the plant sale, coffee in hand and pick up some garden goodies! We will also be hosting some lovely vendors this weekend! Pinkies up, mom! Thank you so much to everyone who came out to our Mother's Day Garden Tea & Luncheon today! We so appreciate that you choose our little farm to share time with your moms at on Mother's Day. 🥰 We had the best time celebrating with you all and hope all the moms had a relaxing teatime! It is a beautiful Saturday morning in the village of Mapleville. The birds are singing in crab apple blossoms, the rain is patteding softly. This morning we baked some of our favorite springtime flavors.... flakey honey & chives scones made with chives from the reawakened perennial herb garden and honey from our neighbor. Rhubarb streusel bars that taste like childhood baked with rhubarb from our old patch that has been there since our childhood. Pistachio biscotti, light and perfect with a black coffee on a beautiful morning. And of course our earl grey & lavender loaves, a dreamy invention of breadbox past made with lavender from Fort Hill Farm, chunks of fresh orange and topped with a strong earl grey glaze. This bread has earned a loyal following over the years and we only bake it this time of year! In short, today tastes of springtime, of home, of memories.
