Please consider attending Figures Like Ours, a solo exhibition of new work by American artist Anthony Angelilli. The show opens May 15th and 16th at 7:00-9:00p.m as a part of the Millvale Music Festival. See this work and others at The Maple Leaf 115 Sedgwick Street Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Anthony Angelilli (American b. 1995) is an artist based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Angelilli obtained a Bachelor of Fine Art degree from Youngstown State University in 2019. In 2020 Angelilli was honored as an artist Fellow for The Civita Institute - The Northwest Institute for Architecture & Urban Studies in Italy (NIAUSI). Since then his work was recognized in Architect Magazine, and I Like Your Work podcast.
Angelilli uses carseat headrests as a painting surface. His pieces are unpresuming, modest in scale, and tactile. They reflect the intricacy of materials and allow others to interpret the work’s fragile, yet physical qualities. His work was described by the art writer, Emma Riva, as
“subtle and delicate, hiding a raw complexity in its minimalist exterior.” Angelilli has shown work nationally with galleries and museums such as Kelly Strayhorn Theater, Ketchup City Creative, Brew House Arts, McDonough Museum of Art, The Butler Institute of American Art, Troppus Projects, Kent State University Downtown Gallery, and Trumbull Art Gallery. Angelilli continues to live and work in Pittsburgh.
With the Swim Effect Sober Stage, Youth Stage, evening performances and solo gallery show by Anthony Angelilli, Maple Leaf will host a wide variety of experiences throughout the festival

The Connection We Keep: A Creative Space for Grief
Sponsored by The Katie Whysong Art for Hope Initiative
The holiday season can often magnify the feelings of grief and absence. If you are navigating the holidays while deeply missing someone, we invite you to The Connection We Keep: A Creative Space for Grief.
This gentle drop-in event is specifically geared toward creating meaningful, tangible crafts that help you honor your loved one and integrate their memory into your holiday season, rather than feeling pressured to push your grief aside.
This is a quiet, supportive space where you can transform your love and memories into beautiful keepsakes that remind you of your enduring connection.
This isn’t a structured class, but a creative drop-in space where you can work at your own pace alongside others who understand. We provide the materials, the inspiration, and the gentle company; you bring the memories.
SPECIAL GUEST
Danielle from Abeiville Voyante Tea will lead a tea blending, using herbs specially chosen for their remembrance, connection and soothing properties. Each participant will receive a tea bag to bring home.
What to Expect:
Memory Crafting Stations: Explore activities designed to turn cherished memories into tangible keepsakes. Options include: A Warm and Comforting Glass Holder for a candle or flowers
Memory Sachet : Choose from a range of soothing scents and dried flowers
Watercolor painting on card canvases from The Positive Painting Project

Access to The Telephone of the Wind, a Public Art Resource for Connection
A Supportive Environment: Feel free to share stories, work in silent reflection, or simply sit and breathe. This is a judgment-free zone where all feelings are welcome.
Light Refreshments: Warm Mulled Apple Cider and cookies will be available to nourish you throughout the afternoon.
Come as you are, stay as long as you like. We look forward to sharing with you.
