✨ Cozy Golden Milk ✨ (Manjal Podi Paal in Tamil) has been a staple in my home for as long as I can remember. The version I grew up with was simple—just milk, turmeric, pepper, and honey. I’ve made it into a version I’ve had at coffee shops—only better. Recreating coffee shop drinks is my favourite thing to do. Creamy, lightly spiced, and perfect for winding down in the evening as we ease into spring. I make mine with soy milk for a protein boost, but any milk works. When it comes to spices use a light hand, too much of anything will make it unpalatable. Here’s how you can make this golden cup of warmth: 🥛 1 cup soy milk (or any milk of choice) 1/4 tsp turmeric (I use Lakadong turmeric) 1/4 tsp ginger powder 🫚 A few dashes of freshly grated nutmeg (use a light hand—nutmeg has a soporific effect!) A dash of freshly cracked black pepper 1/2 #tsp vanilla A pinch of salt Maple syrup 🍁 (or any sweetener you love) 💛 Simmer the milk and spices until it reaches a rolling boil. Remove from heat, strain, and froth if you like it extra creamy. This golden milk is best enjoyed in the evening—soothing, warm, and just right for winding down. For the grown-ups: Garnish with dried rose petals and an extra sprinkle of nutmeg. 🌹 For the little ones: Froth it up! My daughters love it extra foamy. ☁️ A cozy cup of golden goodness. #GoldenMilk #TurmericLatte #ManjalPodiPaal #CozyDrinks #HealthyDrinks #DairyFreeRecipes #WarmAndCozy #SpringTransition #TurmericBenefits #GoldenHourDrink #SleepyTimeDrink

This cold soba noodle salad is fresh, satisfying and has a spicy peanut dressing that ties everything together. @maplechutney 's recipe is packed with crisp, fresh vegetables for plenty of texture, while shredded tofu adds extra protein to make a hearty, balanced meal that's perfect for lunches. If you’re making the salad ahead of time, just cook the tofu, prepare the dressing and vegetables, and refrigerate everything for later. When you’re ready to eat, simply cook the noodles, toss all the ingredients together and serve!😋 Head to the link in @cbclife ’s bio for the full recipe, or comment “RECIPE” to get it sent straight to your DMs. Produced in association with the CBC Creator Network.

Make these cottage cheese egg bites for a protein-packed breakfast that you can prep in advance. 🥚😋 @maplechutney ’s simple recipe is something you can make on a Sunday and enjoy for breakfast all week long. Blending the eggs with cottage cheese adds protein and gives the bites a soft, custardy texture, and baking them in a water bath helps them stay extra-fluffy. You can also substitute whatever mix-ins you have on hand! 🎬One Light. Every Shoot. What if the light you already have is the only one you need? I shoot every single food video with one light - the Godox SL150W (recently upgraded to a Godox SL 300iii Bi). Because I learned how to use it, and that’s enough. (Not sponsored Godox just a fan) Small house. Small space. Zero excuses. Here’s what changed my shooting: → One light repositioned = a completely different story → Shaping your light beats buying more light every time → Knowing your gear > owning more gear Most food creators are waiting for the perfect setup. You don’t need it. You need to understand what you already have. That’s exactly what I help creators do. 🎬 Link in bio to work with me. Turns out mango lassi translates beautifully into a cake. This mango yogurt cake had to happen in spring. Yogurt in the batter, mango swirled through, cardamom doing its thing. The mango yogurt topping is very satisfying to swirl on top. This recipe is easy enough to bake with kids, although a lot of mango will be eaten during the process. All the ingredients came from Voilà my favourite grocery delivery app @voila.ca - which if you haven’t tried for a baking day, genuinely changes things. It’s also the least chaotic part of this recipe. #ad #springbaking #mangolassi #voilàpartner

This roasted cauliflower with dates and herby farro dish blurs the line between a hearty salad and an exquisite main course. What we do know for sure though? It's absolute perfection and a dream if you love texture. 😋 Served on a bed of lemon-tahini yogurt, @maplechutney 's recipe combines sweet dates, crunchy walnuts and herby farro with harissa-maple cauliflower. It comes together quickly and is perfect for hosting, or anytime you're craving something healthy but satisfying and still full of flavour. These mini pistachio sticky toffee puddings will make the perfect finale to your spring feast 🤩🌿 A fresh twist on a classic, @maplechutney ’s recipe blends ground pistachios into the batter, while the toffee sauce is infused with pistachio cream for even more nutty flavour. (Fair warning: it's so good, you'll want to pour it on everything.) They bake right in a muffin tin, making them an easy, single-serving dessert that will be sure to impress. 📸 BTS of a Brand Photography Shoot 🤳📽️ A little behind the scenes from a commercial food photography shoot I did earlier this year with @joeyseedcrisps . I’ve now worked with Joey around six times, and one of my favourite parts of this collaboration is how much it continues to challenge me creatively. This shoot spanned three days, multiple set changes, and plenty of creative problem-solving, but I’m so proud of how it all came together. Lucy from @capturebylucy helped bring my mood board to life through the backdrops, and Althea helped me during the shoot and also put together the graphic for this reel. Projects like this are always such a collaborative effort, and that is a big part of what makes them so rewarding. It takes ideas, trust, flexibility, and usually a little bit of chaos to make something great and this one had all of the above. Still obsessed with the final result. Here’s a slightly punchier version too: A little BTS from a commercial food photography shoot I did earlier this year with @joeyseedcrisps We’ve worked together around six times now, and I love that each project still pushes me creatively. This one took three days, multiple set changes, and a lot of moving parts, but I’m honestly obsessed with the final result. Lucy from @capturebylucy @cblbackdrops helped create backdrops based on my mood board, and Althea helped me during the shoot and put together the graphic for this reel. Safe to say this was very much a team effort. The creative process is rarely calm, usually a little chaotic, and almost always better when good people are part of it. Grateful for collaborations like this one. #FoodPhotograph #BehindTheScenes #BrandShoot #CreativeDirection #FoodStyling

This vegetarian twist on the viral high-protein recipe is both delicious and meal-prep friendly. @maplechutney ’s meat-free version of these sweet potato cottage cheese bowls swap ground beef for canned lentils, making them just as tasty while packed with fiber. Quick to put together, they’re perfect for lunch prep — just hold off on the cottage cheese and avocado until serving to keep everything fresh.
