I've been wanting to try shutter drag techniques in the studio for at least a year having seen Lindsay Adler's gorgeous demo. Luckily I was able to find stunning model Ani Furmanski to go in on the experiment..error and trial until we were able to create art. Camera movements and zooms were the best; the outtakes (not shown) look like AI. Shutter drag can create extra hands and make skin look alien. Worked best to cover the model with a glittery outfit and move the camera. Also fun to play with the Fresnel modifier on the main light. #canonr6ii #fresnel #shutterdrag

Chalk mural recap 2025! iMadonnari, Pasadena Chalk Festival (winner most humorous), Lompoc Chalks, Ventura Chalk Festival, Orcutt Children's Chalk Festival. "Meowicahis" is my favorite. Next is "Meowther Mary Our Feline of Pawdalupé", "Skydive Belly Beans Lompoc", "Temptations" featuring my mega cat Big Gray, and the "The Biscuit Bakery - You Need What We Knead" featuring Chef Gary the bread kneading Instagram star(my most viral post ever).
Bummer that the last three were done in a big hurry, as all of the fall chalk and art events occurred on two weekends only instead of being a spread out; I only had a few hours to chalk the last three. Track ( and soccer ) phenom Sophia P has been absolutely owning her age group with top times in Ventura County in the 200m, 400m and relays. Inspired by Lindsay Adler's "Old Hollywood Lighting" shoots, I tried out this dramatic and flattering lighting with my lovely friend @claudiamiklas . It was really fun to try out the Fresnel modifier with the Profoto main light. It is somewhere between a hard and soft light.
