Invitation: Thursday February 19, 12-1:30 PM Virtual Informational Session for Men As Peacemakers Restorative Program
Men As Peacemakers (MAP) invites community partners and stakeholders to a virtual information session about the relaunch of MAP’s Restorative Program. Operating since 2004, The Restorative Program is a community-based, alternative response for victims of domestic violence (DV) and intimate partner violence (IPV) who are seeking accountability and healing outside of, or in addition to, criminal justice system options. MAP’s Restorative Program engages participants with misdemeanor to felony-level domestic violence offenses in a circle process aimed at repairing harm, gaining accountability, restoring relationships, and reintegrating into healthy community.
In this session, attendees will learn about:
MAP’s approach and methodology for restorative practices within the context of DV and IPV;
Eligibility Criteria (including levels and types of offenses);
Referral Pathways;
Screening Process; and
Ways to get involved.
Time will also be provided for audience Q&A.
Victim advocates, criminal justice system professionals, faith leaders, community leaders, and other community stakeholders are invited to attend.
This session will be recorded and sent out to all who register. If you are unable to attend, but would like a link to the recording, please register.
