About once a month we host a music club. Attendees can bring records, tapes, discs, or streaming tracks to share and talk about the weird little record store where you discovered it, what it means to you, or whatever else. We’ll have a big PA set up to listen together. Find a new favorite song!
Wednesday, May 20, 6-8pm at manyworld, 1013 NW Taylor Ave.

Hey y’all… we raised $2300 for @manyworld.diy at last weekend’s fabric sale :’) those funds will go towards building community garden structures so manyworld can grow and distribute food to our community + keeping the lights on at the coolest third space in town. I am soooo proud and grateful for this amazing community of fiber artists, and even more grateful to the folks who donated fabric for the sale and of course my hardworking volunteers. We redistributed several hundred pounds of gorgeous silks, quilting cottons, vintage/antique lace and more to the community at sliding scale prices. I am so excited to see what yall make with your stashes! I LOVE THE SEWING COMMUNITY!!!!
Last slide is my fave score from the weekend—some vintage lace curtains that don’t fit my windows but I don’t even care! Also I forgot to center the pic on Instagram oops
ALSO… if you missed the sale, check out the heartland humane thrift store on Kings for the remainders ;)
TOMORROW! Turn trash into treasure by returning the rich nutrients of food and yard waste into beautiful compost! Learn the basics of vermicomposting using worms, hot composting, and bokashi composting, as well as some other useful soil amendments you can make at home.
Tons of quilting cotton, apparel fabric, needles, sewing tools, notions, bag making supplies, embroidery supplies, and more! At low, low, bargain prices. Come shop for your next craft or sewing project!
Saturday May 9th and Sunday May 10th only!
Proceeds support manyworld projects and programming.
Masks required and provided on Saturday. Masks optional on Sunday.
Volunteers requested! If you’d like to help set up and clean up, send us a dm.
At manyworld diy craft center, 1013 NW Taylor.
Join us for a screening of Castration Movie Anthology i: Traps. on Friday @ 7pm
-
Michaela “Traps” Sinclair (writer/director/star Louise Weard) is a trans sex worker trying to get by in Vancouver while also mentoring her recently-out friend Adeline (Aoife Josie Clements) and making an attempt at pursuing actual motherhood. Meanwhile, a lowly production assistant named Turner (Noah Baker) finds himself dangerously spiraling into inceldom as his current relationship implodes.
The first two chapters (running a total of 275 minutes with intermission) of what will eventually become a 16+ hour film, Louise Weard’s Castration Movie is easily the longest movie to ever play Frameline — and for good reason. Featuring appearances from festival favorites Vera Drew (The People’s Joker), Alice Maio Mackay (Carnage for Christmas, Frameline48), Cricket Arrison (By Design, Frameline49), Avalon Fast (The Serpent’s Skin, Frameline49), and more, the film is quite possibly one of the most vivid portraits of trans life to have ever been captured on obsolete Hi8 videotape. Don’t let the runtime scare you — Castration Movie is electrifying, uncompromising, inspiring, and real in a way that so little trans cinema is.
Don your cloaks & sharpen your teeth. Prepare yourselves for the coming Corvallis Synthpop Massacre.
Hailing from the misty forests of Bellingham, Bloodhaver’s ethetial synthpop will be certain to send chills writhing up your spine. She will be joined by Eugene gothic powerhouse State Alchemist, and local favorite DJ Petricore.
Mask Up.
