Very excited that our exhibition in collaboration with Canberra Glassworks and artist Jordan Benson is coming up! // THROUGH THE WINDOW // showing 14 May to 26 July 2026 Main Gallery | Curated by Aimee Frodsham and Marisa Maher This exhibition brings together the artists of Iltja Ntjarra Many Hands Art Centre (Mparntwe/Alice Springs, NT) and Jordan Benson (Naarm/Melbourne VIC) in a dialogue of tradition and innovation. Together, they explore light, colour, and transparency, sharing skills and stories across mediums to offer fresh perspectives that honours culture while engaging with the present. Expanding on their collaboration for the 5th National Indigenous Art Triennial: After the Rain at the National Gallery of Australia, this exhibition deepens the dialogue between their practices. @canberraglassworks @jordanb_art #exhibition #glassworks #australianartist #collaboration

Iltja Ntjarra at Desert Mob Conference 2026! (L-R) Mandy Malbunka, Dellina Inkamala, Raelene Inkamala, Tyler Arnold, Vanessa Inkamala and Kathy Inkamala The 2026 Desart Art Centre Conference saw directors, art centre managers, art workers and artists from across Central Australia come together for three days of knowledge-sharing, connection and immersive learning experiences. Held on Arrernte Country, the conference provided an important space for Desart members to come together, discuss key industry priorities, and strengthen networks that support the sustainability of the sector. The broad program of presentations, roundtable discussions, and workshops covered topics from governance and Indigenous Cultural and Intellectual Property (ICIP), to Work health and safety and AI. Carita Coulthard with some bags of locally sourced buffel grass, we've been enjoying the challenge of making homemade paper out of this grass / weed. If anyone has advice about cutting it / bagging it and bringing it to the art centre without further spreading it's seeds please let us know! - #buffelgrass #centralaustralia #papermaking #HomeMadePaper
