Dünyanın dört bir yanında milyonların izlediği, yayınlandığı dönemde izlenme rekorları kıran Spartacus dizisinin unutulmaz karakteri Crixus’u canlandıran Manu Bennett, yeni proje görüşmeleri için İstanbul’daydı.
Yanında dünyaca ünlü menajer dostum Varol Porsemay, Ramiz Özbay, Murat Sima ve Almanya’dan gelen değerli dostum Hasan Dere vardı.

Gerçekten başka bir şeydi.
Balığın o ağır olmayan yumuşak dokusu…
Tandırın verdiği o hafif is kokusu…
Rakının yanında bıraktığı o eşsiz tat…
Bir ara sohbet bile durdu masada. Çünkü herkes aynı anda aynı şeye teslim olmuştu: lezzete…
Ben gazetecilik hayatım boyunca sayısız dünya yıldızıyla aynı masaya oturdum.
Ama bazı geceler vardır ki hafızaya haber olarak değil, duygu olarak kazınır.
Dün gece de benim için tam olarak öyleydi.

Ortada rakı, balık ve samimiyet…

This is my take on AI. Everything is energized by light. We hold it within us as much as it exists around us. How we process light varies from lighting a candle to detonating a bomb. It’s our choice & decision making. The contemporary light of technology is now beaming ever so brightly upon us in what feels like a blinding moment, like staring into the sun & AI is overwhelming because of the immense energy used to operate it. Certainly, if we abuse it like we do weapons, it will spread suffering & if we allow it to rule our consciousness by manner of greed & selfishness, it will be become the enemy of truth, if the principal human truth is based upon the existence of our lives, our continuing light. We are the builders of AI & still the engineers of its potential & we need to care for & nurture AI so that it will care for & nurture us. Ultimately, I believe, AI is in our hands. Very much open to discussion about this!
Such an honor this past week to ride along with both the Fort Lauderdale & Hollywood Police Departments. The commitment these police officers, sergeants, lieutenants, detectives & captains put into safeguarding the community is something you only begin to understand by spending a day on duty. From civil disputes to road accidents, animal rescues to SWAT take downs, these men & women come to the publics service as soon as 911 is dialled. I've never realised how much they do on a daily basis & the pressures they endure whilst dealing with crisis & crime on our behalf. Great having @manubennett stop by the HPD today.
Many know him from his roles as Deathstroke in Arrow, Crixus in Spartacus, and Azog in The Hobbit. It was pretty cool to see how many of our guys immediately recognized the roles he’s played over the years.
He spent some time with our officers, asked a lot of questions, and was genuinely interested in learning about what our HPD men and women do every day.
