WE CUTE!
Hello beautiful souls… 😊
Well our “Liquid Lines” show is at it’s last week ending May 18th. I must thank all the ppl who came out to see our display of artworks. It’s been such great time and opportunity to show with @rebecca___kaufman and @kkyleddunn at @arcanasf . I’ve always had an appreciation for them and their art over the years. So grateful for our artist curator @clareevatattoo with all her input and efforts to get this show together! All around such a sweet experience.
The opener was fun as hell with lots of tasty wine going. Which eventually started a celebratory after party! 🤣🪩 Hahaha
Also our amazing insightful art talk. We thank our guests so much for attending who made it so special.
So great!
Thank You Thank You THANK YOU!

It’s been rough lately seeing ppl that’s been in my life transition into another realm of the universe.
Dan, I will miss you my friend. I thought I’d get to see you a few more times. But things like this are never expected. I’m just grateful I was able to see you a couple times recently and will be left with that.
I met Dan Fontes three different times. First being enchanted with the “Giraphics” mural series on the 580 freeway pillars as a kid. We drove by them so much that they become a part of your life. The second time I didn’t know it was even him. But when I was planning my daughter Maya’s birthday party at the Pacific Pinball Museum in Alameda he gave me a tour around the place but didn’t know it was him. The third time was a more formal introduction through my friend Kristi Holohan. She had brought him to one of the Draw Club events at Faultline ArtSpace.
That was exciting to meet the artist who did all these murals throughout my lifetime. My initial impression of him was this wise considerate supportive legendary artist which never changed years after.
Sometimes you meet deeply good people in your life and Dan defined that in many ways. I’m sure the many ppl he’s met and ppl closer to him experienced it. I probably only interacted with him less than 20 times but each time was of value and cherished.
He was generally soft spoken yet there was fire and passion when he gave encouragement and saw something to speak up about. In that way he was so supportive to others and righteous. He collected some work of mine and recently gave me a bunch of his paints. He’d invite me to his house parties and the Alameda Antique Fairs which he loved and collected a lot.
As much as he’s done with making art and within the art scene. I feel he didn’t get as much recognition as maybe he should. But maybe that’s the beauty of it a humble extremely talented artist that didn’t bring as much ego as others.
I will miss you my friend my super talented and kind friend. Julie will be fine thank You for your Love. We will carry your spirit in our lives and artistry.

“Untitled/Snail Games” - 42” x 66” acrylic on canvas
This piece was commissioned by @snailgamesusa
I was asked to do a big abstract piece for the gaming studio which this will be the first in their offices.
I wanted the piece open ended. As if you can continuously see and experience it infinitely.
It was fun to interpret and incorporate certain styles within the same piece. I also utilized visuals from some of their games for inspiration.
It took me a sec to finish this piece actually. I found it very challenging going back and forth over the course of months bouncing ideas and thoughts around. Chipping away at it over time I started to go through flow state and finish.
Super inspired to paint more in this surreal abstract way as I’ve done before. It opened up more doors to visually travel through. This is one of the biggest detailed studio pieces I’ve done can’t wait to do more.
I want to thank the Snail Games team for being so accommodating and supportive. I live painted with this piece for their gaming convention party in SF as well. Met some of the gaming developers, sales people, and even the past and current CEOs in which they marked the piece w signatures and imagery hidden within.
