#AMERICAN REVIEW: @weallwantsomeone says: "Danish indie band Mansfield recently returned with their new single “Too Much to Handle”, their follow-up to their 2024 sophomore album, 'For All the Right Reasons'. The track creates a shimmering and echoing anthemic effect that features a hypnotic vocal performance with a dreamy, lush quality to it. There’s a youthful swagger to it all, the sort that reminds us of so many of the tracks that would have set the world by storm on @nmemagazine back in the early 2000s. While it chugs along with a big confident rock sound and widescreen feel for the genre, there is an emotional sentiment that swells underneath it all." Big thanks for this brilliant review. EPIC SINGLE REVIEW FROM MANCHESTER: @nordicmusiccentral writes about 'Too Much to Handle': "Mansfield are a potted history of contemporary British music over the latter half of the 20th century. They aren’t so much re-writing these eras as redefining them. Mansfield are excellent storytellers, and always in plain English. Singer Christian Stage at least has spent time here, including in the Nottinghamshire [ex-] coal mining town of Mansfield, from where the band takes its name.
They have a habit, too, of dropping videos with little hints of imagery and allegory that embellish the lyrics. In this very professionally produced one, filmed in Copenhagen, and which symbolises chasing an undefined goal, Christian Stage appears to offer a little prayer even before it gets underway.
That imagery repetitively encompasses tunnels, one-way streets with traffic lights flashing alternatively red for stop and green for go, blindfolds, and people tailing each other like spies. Or alter egos. One of the characters is played by @declanland , a friend of the band who is appropriately from Mansfield!

In 2020, Danish indie band Mansfield had their breakthrough when releasing their debut album, “Star-Crossed Lovers”.
Propelled by the hit single, “A Place in the Sun”, Mansfield attracted attention from radio stations and music critics around the world. Quickly, they were compared to artists such as The Beatles, Stone Roses and Oasis. In Denmark, their debut became Album of The Week on national radio, followed by several songs in steady rotation. “Star-Crossed Lovers” received 4- and 5-star reviews and Mansfield toured Denmark, Germany and the UK.
In 2023, the band put out an EP, while finishing their second album produced by Morten Bue. In 2024, Mansfield released the album, “For All the Right Reasons”, underscoring their presence on the international indie scene. Acclaimed music magazine GAFFA gave the album a 5-star review, also listing it in the Top 3 of Best Danish Albums of 2024. The band has shared the stage with Shambolics, All The Young, John Hassall (The Libertines), Marseille, The Peawees and many more.
+ Special guests Sunwheel
Sunwheel, a Derby basedindie rock band creating emotionally-charged, music built on soaring melodies, nostalgic textures, and driving guitars. The band blend the hazy warmth of 90s alt-rock with the pulse of modern indie, drawing inspiration from bands like The War on Drugs, Ride, and Smashing Pumpkins, while staying true to our own voice.
Formed through a shared love of shoegaze, Britpop, and cinematic soundscapes, we aim to write music that feels both massive and personal, the kind of songs that hit hard live and linger long after.
For All the Right Reasons (2024).
