Scenes from the Double Tee launch party 🍋
Join us on May 17 @nycxdesign for Sunday brunch at The Paul Rudolph Institute for Modern Architecture’s Modulightor Building to celebrate the launch of The Double Tee Table Collection.
The Double Tee Table Collection sits at the intersection of architectural lineage and material tradition. Through this collaboration with @strang_design , the legacy of Leedy’s structural clarity meets the material knowledge of MANOS. The result is an object where architecture is not referenced, but fully realized.

“The Double Tee is a piece of architectural history. What began as a structural innovation became an intimate object. Tectonic form brought down to the scale of the hand.”
– Joe Lynch (Head of Product, MANOS)

Celebrating a special evening. Thank you @andros_home for hosting us.
The Double Tee Coffee Table reflects MANOS’s commitment to concrete as both form and beauty, and @strang_design ’s devotion to a modernism rooted in a response to space, light, and place. Our collaboration translates architectural logic into an intimate object—structural form brought down to the scale of the hand.

Behind the shoot.
There are certain moments when things start to feel real. Seeing the first mold fully set up, watching the team work the wet material during the first casting, feeling the prototype’s surface after polishing.
But nothing clarifies the process more than photographing a piece. It’s the moment we step back and see it not as an object in production, but as something meant to live in a space. The table is no longer moved by forklift or dolly, but placed by hand as it would be in someone’s home. Through each frame, we have the opportunity to shape to tell the story. How it came to be, and where it belongs.

The Double Tee Table Collection represents a physical dialogue between @manosmade and @strang_design . What began as an iterative study between our two teams evolved into a collectible object that feels inevitable.

Inspired by the bold structural expressionism embraced by the iconic Florida architect, Gene Leedy, the Double Tee Coffee Table distills a defining element of mid-century modernism into a singular moment. In Leedy’s work, the double tee was a declaration that structure itself should be beautiful. The table honors that legacy, reducing architecture to its essence: a load is carried, a span is expressed, gravity is acknowledged.
Concrete, often seen only as brutal, is treated here with playful precision. Formed and cast by hand, the material reveals its ability to hold subtle imperfection within a disciplined geometry. Curves cast soft shadows across the table’s hard faces. The weight of the material is unmistakable, yet it carries a quiet sense of balance.

The Double Tee Table.
Two parallel tees joined as one span. A structural system reduced to the scale of use.
Load is carried. Shadow defines the depth.
