Inspired by the unique pink granite and turquoise sea of jersey
I did a 3 layer scrunch dye, with a stone platter texture to create the granite effect, then finished off with a turquoise dip dye for the lapping waves of the seaaaaaa 🌊

Reflecting the themes of nature, landscapes and offerings in Vidya’s choreography, the design takes inspiration directly from the shores of Jersey and its unique pink granite.
As always, a complete and utter joy to work with Vidya. Designing for her work is a beautiful process, and one where I can really express myself as an artists. And part of that is considering the costume as an extension of the choreography - always thinking of how I can enhance movement and context in a meaningful way 🌊
