This Christmas, I wanted to speak out against the rising tide of hate directed at our Trans Community, hate that is so often fuelled by people with immense wealth, power, and influence. One of those voices has tried to shield themselves behind the name “JK,” but their impact is anything but hidden.
Through performance, I chose to reclaim the iconic Harry Potter costume as an act of resistance, blending it with the Union Jack to expose how some people use patriotism as a mask for racism and prejudice.
As a decent human being, all I ask is simple: fly the flag because you’re proud of the values the UK should stand for. Acceptance, kindness, equality, and love. Be proud to be British because we uplift one another, celebrate our differences, and see people for who they are, not their gender, sexuality, or race.
So here’s my message: I reject transphobia. I reject racism. I embrace pride, solidarity, and compassion. Be proud. Be patriotic. But never be hateful. 🏳️⚧️ xXx Miss Tess Tickle xXx
