Three weeks ago, we brought 𝐂𝐮𝐫𝐥𝐬, 𝐂𝐨𝐢𝐥𝐬 & 𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐟𝐥𝐨𝐰 to life at @sta__studios in London. 100+ stylists, salon owners, and beauty entrepreneurs spent the day moving through four expert tracks focused on business, education, wellness, and community.
Thank you to every panelist who shared real strategies, every attendee who showed up ready to learn, and every sponsor who invested in this space. The conversations that happened in those rooms matter.

That’s the part of the weekend I keep coming back to. 💛
Two days at @sta__studios . 27 stylists and barbers. 20 volunteers. Free hair appointments, education, and product boxes for Black and mixed heritage children in foster care. Many of them sat in a salon chair properly for the first time. ✨
The reality is, this isn’t about hair. Hair is the entry point. What we’re really doing is closing a gap the system has never been required to close.

100 children. 27 stylists and barbers. 20 volunteers. 2 days that changed everything.
@curlscoilsandcare isn’t just about hair. It’s about children in foster care feeling seen, valued, and celebrated - many for the first time.
Black and mixed-race children in care are more likely to experience neglect around their hair. Not because carers don’t care, but because the system hasn’t made it mandatory to equip them with the knowledge or tools they need.
So we created an event where every child gets:
✨ A full salon experience — wash, style, cut
✨ Workshops for them and their carers
✨ A box of products to take home
Because something as simple as having your hair done properly can be life-changing when you’ve never experienced it before.
This is what happens when a community shows up. Thank you to every stylist, volunteer, brand partner, and donor who made this possible.
More events are coming. More children will be reached. This is just the beginning.

Day 1 of @curlscoilsandcare is done. Children styled. Boxes packed. Workshops delivered.
ITV News came while children were getting their hair done. They spoke to two of the children, our team, and captured what they could in the salon.

But two minutes of footage can’t capture what yesterday was.
The little girl who saw herself in the mirror and smiled for the first time in months. The foster parent in Sarah’s workshop taking notes because they finally have a guide. The teenage boy who walked in quiet and walked out standing taller.
Day 1: Done. children seen, valued, celebrated.
Today: Day 2. more children. Same energy. Same love. Same mission.

We’re so excited to announce that celebrity hairstylist @hairbysarahsango will be running workshops at @curlscoilsandcare !💜
Sarah is the founder of Peach Hair & Beauty, the mastermind behind LUSH’s Afro hair care line, and has worked with some of the biggest names in TV and film.
On April 5-6, she’ll be delivering two workshops per day teaching foster parents and children how to properly wash textured hair—giving families the knowledge and confidence to care for their hair at home.
