this picture is from March 1st when I decided to walk every day and that I would watch 100 movies in 2026, and what a month I had. I walked 91 miles (at a 15:00 pace or faster) and then…however many miles you walk just being alive. which used to not be a lot for me and now it suddenly is.
also (more importantly) I saw 18 movies (getting me up to 27 for the year so far) and in lieu of a photodump (because I basically only walk and watch movies now) here is my Top 10 Favorite Movies I Saw in March 2026. They are in order of FUN not necessarily in order of GOOD.
1. The Holdovers - 5/5
2. They Will Kill You - 4.5/5
3. Django Unchained - 5/5
4. Timecrimes (Los Cronocrímenes) - 5/5

Happy Birthday, I’m old now.
I woke up 30 so now I gotta check my credit score and subscribe to the New York Times so I can play the crossword every morning. Whenever I hit these big age milestones I get very depressed and nostalgic so I went and found one photo for each year of my adult life. The first one is me at 18 in 2014 a few weeks before I graduated, the last is me a few days before Christmas in 2025, and in between there’s me at 19, 20, etc. you get the concept. Time moves fast, can’t make it stop, but it’s nice to know that I’ve only been living in the good ol’ days. Alright, see ya later I gotta go check my blood pressure and catch a matinee.
twent-me twent-me five (a photo from each month)
This year was weird. It’s the last year of being in my twenties, it was a year that felt horrendously unproductive, and (big one) it was the year I had to stop drinking. For medical reasons. Which kind of feels like having your beer-stained jersey hung from the rafters.
I often feel like a pessimistic person. I would have considered 2025 to be a “bad bad no good year”, but as I look through photos from the last 12 months it’s hard not to smile. This year I met so many wonderful friends, helped some young creatives shoot their first short films, made a bunch of fun ads, got together with my two best friends each week to record a hilarious show, got back into stand up, started producing live shows again, went to Europe, watched the Dodgers pull off a repeat, and best of all I did all of that with people who love me so unbelievably much. I hope they all know how much I love them, too.
It is hard for me to summarize a year into a single post, even tho I’ve been yapping for what feels like forever already. Life is complicated. It’s ebbs and flows, always ups and downs. But this year, like every year I’ve been alive, has ultimately been a very good year. See you next time!
IBS and airplanes just don't mix. Astonishing new episode with the hilarious @mandodoesstuff . Give a listen or watch wherever you listen or watch things!

Can’t believe I got to be there for a generational Ohtani performance and the end of a sweep. Truly one of the best nights of my life.
