🎺🏡 RITMOS CARIBEÑOS EN DORCHESTER. El grupo musical Los Mambiseros (@mambiseros ) llevará su contagiosa energía al Dorchester Porchfest 2026 (@dorchfest ), también conocido como Dorchfest, que se celebrará el próximo sábado 6 de junio. Este festival gratuito, que transforma los porches y jardines del vecindario de Ashmont-Adams en escenarios en vivo, contará con la participación de la banda entre la 1:00 p.m. y las 6:00 p.m., brindando una experiencia cultural única y cercana. Los Mambiseros, conocidos por fusionar la tradición cubana con el free jazz y ritmos ancestrales, son parte de un diverso cartel de más de 40 artistas. Su propuesta musical no solo busca entretener, sino también honrar el espíritu rebelde y multicultural que define su nombre. Organizado por Greater Ashmont Main Street, el Dorchfest sigue consolidándose como una tradición que celebra el talento local y la cohesión social. We’ve been invited to bring our full 6-piece to Harvard! “Harvard Candela Latin Dance Troupe’s 2026 production of Un Viaje Por El Mundo brings the biggest Latino showcase on Harvard’s campus to the Loeb’s main stage. With performances spanning dance, music, poetry, and more, this show uplifts and celebrates Latino culture during a vulnerable moment for our community. The show immerses viewers in captivating styles such as salsa, bachata, reggaeton, bomba, cumbia, and tango, augmented by pieces in other mediums. We will showcase an even wider range of performances this year through collaborations with Fuerza Latina, Harvard Ballroom, and the Harvard-Radcliffe Modern Dance Company. We also are excited to announce a special collaboration with Los Mambiseros, a Boston band that will treat audience members to traditional Cuban music and fusion styles. Un Viaje Por El Mundo serves as a tribute to the resilience, talent, and diversity present within the Latino community. Our heritage would not be alive at Harvard today without immigrants who paved the way for Latino culture to thrive in Boston and the United States at large. As such, we plan to donate 25 cents from every ticket sold to the MIRA Coalition, which promotes the rights and integration of Massachusetts immigrants and refugees.
