La nostra esperienza a Shangai ci ha fatto toccare con mano le differenti percezioni del profumo in base alla cultura infatti il nostro Happy Birthday, un gourmande impressionistico, veniva percepito come « Pop corn » proprio perché, avendo tradizioni culinarie diverse la riconoscibilità avviene sulla base delle proprie conoscenze.

Our experience in Shanghai allowed us to experience firsthand how perceptions of fragrance vary across cultures. In fact, our Happy Birthday, an impressionistic gourmand, was perceived as “popcorn,” precisely because, with different culinary traditions, recognition is shaped by one’s own references and experiences.

È trascorsa una settimana. A volte serve un po’ di tempo per lasciare che la bellezza decanti: non per attenuarne la forza, ma per prenderne davvero consapevolezza.
Il palazzo che ospita la Camera di Commercio di Genova è Palazzo Tobia Pallavicino. Che Malva 1979 abbia accompagnato con le sue note la presentazione del libro di @sissiottostyle , “88 giorni per ritrovarsi”, in un contesto simile è stata un’opportunità rara.
Il Palazzo è una delle dimore dei Rolli.
Pallavicino, commerciante di allume, acquistò un lotto di terreno e affidò la costruzione della sua dimora a Giovanni Battista Castello. La Galleria Dorata, massima espressione del rococò genovese, fu invece voluta da Filippo Carrega: uno di quei luoghi che si osservano con incanto e stupore.
Ripercorrerne la storia, immaginando come Lorenzo De Ferrari abbia concepito il progetto pittorico in dialogo con stucchi e specchi, fino a renderla luce viva, è un esercizio quasi onirico.
Sentire le fragranze tra quelle stanze è stato emozionante: perché il potere dell’arte è parlare una lingua universale, e l’olfatto ha da sempre la capacità di sigillare i ricordi.
